Perfect activity for Portofino - We had a lot of fun during this activity, our guide was Christina, was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of nice things and explained them to us. We also very liked making the pesto and the lunch after was excellent. It was also nice to be doing so right in the port with a beautiful view.

Magnificent postcard!! - Tourist place that only lives off tourism!! So prices are supported!! To visit quietly, taking your time to explore the streets and the surrounding area, still wearing good shoes as it is quite steep!! Arriving by boat is recommended, although the bus is very convenient to get there from Santa Margherita!!

Pesto making fun! - This tour was the best! We loved every second of our time with our guide and group! Our guide was very accommodating and the communication was great! Our train ride from Genoa to Santa Margherita was 50+ minutes late. We were worried we were going to miss the meet up time so we texted with an update and she set up another meeting point for us at the ferry station instead. We made it just in time for the 10:15am ferry. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave just the right amount of info! Myself and my 19 year old sister loved it. We had a small group of 5 which was perfect, another couple and a solo traveler. It’s so nice to have these small groups because you really get to know the others with you as well as the guide and the area which we liked. The tour itself is great and the pesto making class was so fun and yummy!! Lunch and drinks were also great! The location for the class was just beautiful!! We were dying over the background! The staff at the restaurant were all so nice too…food was delish and our pesto turned out perfecto!! You will not be disappointed in this tour! Book it now!!

Amazing Portofino Excursion! - We had an amazing time with Cristina yesterday touring portofino while on our honeymoon! We got lucky and it was just my wife and I on the tour because it’s towards the end of the season but regardless the group can only be 8 max! Cristina was so fun, welcoming and informative and I highly recommend doing this experience rather than just going to portofino in your own!!

Questionable Value - Our guide Cristina was great and we definitely enjoyed the experience, but I think that it’s not worth the price. Given how easily anyone can buy a ticket for the ferry and have lunch after strolling around Portofino, the added commentary and pesto making weren’t worth the premium price. One word of advice: we booked this thinking it was an activity out of Genoa, where we were staying. The meeting point is actually in Santa Margherita, which is 25 miles south of Genoa. It was easy enough to take the train and walk to the ferry, but it wasn’t clear to me that we’d need to do that.
