Scientifically, the medicinal properties of its salt waters are acknowledged for their healing, detoxifying, and metabolic stimulating effects, thanks to the minerals they contain. Popular belief attributes even greater healing powers to these waters.

The site features a captivating lake where anyone can relax and float, even without swimming skills, leaving their skin feeling as smooth as if naturally exfoliated.

  • Miragem - Witness the Mirage and the fata morgana effect of desert water illusions. The guide will take fun photos for lasting memories.
  • Santa Maria - Discover Santa Maria, Cape Verde’s most tourist-friendly city, and learn about its transformation from a salt-extraction hub to the largest tourist destination in Cape Verde.

Fantastic day trip, not to be missed! - Such a brilliant full day adventure! Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable and told us all about the history and current events of Sal. We visited other cities and towns and he showed us the street art. We swam in a rock pool by the Blue eye which was a lovely cool down as the day got very hot. A key highlight was the lemon sharks- not to be missed and one of the best things I have ever done! The salt lake was also very fun. All in all a brilliant day at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend. Lunch also had a vegetarian option.

All highlights in 1 day. - Well arranged tour with nice Guide (Kiki). Only downside I can think of is the lunch restaurant. Atmospheric restaurant in Espargos with unimaginative food. Must be better pitches to be found in Espargos!

Must do - We spent the day in a small group (7 people) with our Guide Sean. He was present throughout the day. He ensured our comfort and well-being. It is an island culture, he knows everything and explained the history of every place we went. Thank you to him 🤗 we greatly appreciated his kindness and smile! You can book with your eyes closed even with children.

A great day with a local company - The whole day was excellent, Nany was a great guide and very friendly, the experience was perfect as we got to cover everything in one day to see all what Sal had to offer, it would have cost more booking through out tour operator. What was important is how important tourism is to help local people out of poverty, Nany helped get this across to us all. Thanks Sal experience for an unforgettable day.

Just amazing! - Our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He spoke lots of different languages and ensured everybody was having a good time. He was very knowledgeable and gave us information about the island and about Cape Verde throughout the whole day. The trip was well planned out with lots of options given so we could dictate how long we wanted to stay somewhere etc.

Beautiful discovery - Mamadou is super nice. We took a privatized day trip by minibus because we were a group of seven and we were accompanied by BlaBlaCar. We had a great day to discover the island Bad weather did not allow us to see the blue eye, but it was a pleasant day.

The island in one day - Cristian is a Good Guide. He took us all over the island, telling us the story and any question you have answers you, and he is a tremendous photographer. Maybe I would not recommend taking the excursion on a Monday, as many people take it and in the Blue Eye (€3) we were almost 2h waiting .. and that ate a lot of excursion. To see the Blue Eye, it has to be a sunny day for reflection. We couldn't swim there because the tide was low. We ate at Espargos (10€) very well, I tried the cachupa, recommended. Although they're always trying to charge you cash, even if you see the phone on, they tell you it's not working, and if not, go to the bank. The Shark Bay is great, they are getting food and many come, about 20 meters we saw the fins of the big ones. The bath in the salt flats (6€) was very good to finish the excursion. I recommend the tour.
