Enjoyable Day! - Nice days adventure! Easy to moderate hiking. Informative about the local flora and fauna. The cacao session was entertaining! Water level at the falls was very low when we were there due to no rain for several months but it was still refreshing. Use bug spray! I forgot and I am itchy the day after!

Mini Jungle Experience - Minca is great. Wear pants and long sleved tops, there are small flies that bite in addtion to the mosquitos. The waterfalls are great. You don't actually walk a full day however. The session at the end explaining cocoa and other aspects of the area was interesting.

I would book the tour again, be sure to take mosquito spray - The organization announced the name of the taxi driver via WhatsApp. We then took this taxi to Minca. After a short introduction, the group set off. Ronaldo kept telling us interesting things about the flora and fauna along the way. Cafe Farm: unfortunately we only saw the theory - no real coffee flowers or coffee beans on a coffee bush. But there was delicious coffee to drink afterwards. Then we went on to the waterfall. I was a bit disappointed here. Very tasty lunch in a great hostel with a view towards Santa Marta. Then two more interesting lectures about flora and fauna. And finally, lots of interesting things about cocoa. We then took a taxi back to Santa Marta.

Great day adventure - The trip was a lot of fun and our guide Tony was amazing. He definitely made the trip. The coffee plantation was cool but the cocoa demonstration and lunch were even better. Tony was very passionate about his job and it shows. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Prepare to walk a lot! - We had just done Tyrona the day before so we were still sore from the trails. We weren't expecting this much walking. This activity is not suitable for people who have disabilities or challenges walking. The trails were up or downhill for the most part. The hotel pick-up was really appreciated. The tour began in their main shop in Minca, and from there we walked to a coffee farm. We were brought to a small demo area and shown the coffee process, machinery, fermentation and drying station. I only spotted 1 coffee tree. Would have been nice to see more to really experience the farm. We were then given a small amount of coffee to sample (the size of an espresso) - and that was it for coffee sampling. Then we were marketed some products from that farm. The information provided was sufficient and not too overwhelming, but we spent most of the time getting to/from that coffee farm and very little time at the farm enjoying the atmosphere and coffee. I was hoping we'd get to taste coffee at different stages of roasting or at least different types of coffee. We then walked to the waterfall where we had a short 20-minute or so break. I was told I could get changed there, but there was nowhere to change as it was in the middle of the forest. I got changed behind a towel. So get prepared to either wear your bathing suit or change at the coffee farm. The waterfall break was very much appreciated. I would have liked spending more time there. We then walked to our lunch spot, which took about an hour. We had lunch there (beautiful presentation, quite mediocre in taste) and were given some time to relax before the chocolate presentation. The setting is picturesque: an open wooden tree house overlooking mountains and the jungle. I could have easily spent several hours there, laying on their hammocks. After the break, we were invited back to the lunch area where we listened to two presentations on biodiversity and the chocolate-making process. Both were very interesting. We got to taste the chocolate fruit as well as the beans at different stages of the process. We then participated in a brief chocolate-making activity where we ground chocolate and added some sugar and sesame seeds to it. It was a very small amount which we had to eat on the spot. I thought we would make enough to take back home. Then, once again, we were offered products for sale. Overall, the value for what was offered made sense: the pick-up and drop-off, lunch, presentations and various little samples. Total walking time was about 2.5 hours: 30 minutes to coffee farm, 30 minutes to waterfall, 1 hour to lunch, 20 minutes back.

Wonderful time - Absolutely loved the trip, it was very interesting and informative. The only minus I could find is that the taxi driver that took us to Minca was almost 30 mins late and he spoke zero English, which is not good for a trip that is booked in English

Great hike, worth it! Check transportation. - The overall experience was great. We learned so much about the mega-diversity of Colombia and the zone. We had stops during the hikes to learn about the Bamboo, and some of the Indigenous rituals. Arriving and being able yo enjoy the refreshing waters of the Cascada Oido del Mundo made the whole excursion rewarding. During the visit to the mini coffee farm we got to see a Toucan, parrots and great plants. We learned about the coffee process and the owner faces us a moka-made coffee. The hike to the lunch area was a bit tough under the heat and sun but also the Bamboo place where they hosted us was rewarding: great lunch, Biodiversity talk and learning about the Cacao process making our own little chocolate bar. The small & unique hotel made from Bamboo was quaint and with great views. Our guide Gustavo was great & knowledgeable, as they were the other 2 guides who gave the biodiversity & cacao talks. Their English command was excellent as it was their ability to provide all the facts switching back & forth between both languages… My comment for improvement is the transportation: they should make it very clear to the guests about the taxi pick up: they use the yellow ones which are very small for 2 couples: especially at the return when everyone is sweaty, tired etc. This tour should offer the option of a taxi per couple- I’m sure the couple would pay the extra for the additional comfort and not feeling like in a can of sardines during the trip to & from Minca back to Santa Marta.

Wasn’t a fan - Wouldn’t bother. Total chaos getting picked up and then on the way back driver wouldn’t drop us off where agreed because couldn’t be bothered. V unprofessional. We were getting picked up by Mototaxi and the Joe driver pretended to be helpful by calling out Moto driver bit really just gave them wrong info to suit him and that ended up costing us more to get to the hostel. If staying in Santa Marta maybe tour makes sense but not from bonda. Waterfall was tiny and the hike was just a quick walk. Lunch not served until we’ll past 2pm which was annoying for a 8am pick up
