Horseback riding in a wet tropical forest paradise in the Orange groves (Tairona Park) - The Guide is native with excellent command of various dialects. He very kindly explained to us about the ancestral territory that was inhabited by the Tayrona community, of which today there are indigenous people from four communities: Arhuaco, Kankuamo, Kogui and Wiwa. In the riding he showed us medicinal plants and the uses given for each. He introduced us to indigenous people from the area with whom we share a magical moment and receive food (palm coconuts) and barter when we give him our food. He is also an excellent certified drone pilot and shot some beautiful nature and sunset videos. It generated a lot of confidence to cross a river that entered the sea inhabited small harmless alligators, which moved away as horses passed through the water. And also excellent shots at the seaside. Excellent adventure in a magical paradise.

Stunning landscapes on horseback. - Great visit with horses to a beautiful beach. We passed breathtaking landscapes completely alone. The Guide always sought our comfort and helped us take good photos. Very good and breezy horses.

Beautiful horse ride and beach swim through Tayrona - It was a very beautiful experience. The views are amazing and the guide is very warming and uplifting. You don't need any experience riding a horse, just relax and let him take you. The guide told us about some of the indegenous history which was very insightful. On the way back we ate some fresh mango from the tree and were lucky enough to see some small monkeys in the trees! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an adventure.

Fun riding horses through the water - Other than getting to ride the horses through the river, it was uneventful. The area was very pretty. we didn't see anything unusual. No monkies. We did have a nice time. The horses appeared to be well cared for and the guide was knowledgeable of the horses and nature. You can cross over where the river and see come together to reach Los Naranjos Beach, just cross away from large rocks and when the water starts heading back to the sea after a wave. It's okay. Some folks couldn't figure that out. I would recommend it as a nice change of things to do.

Amazing experience near Tayrona Park! - Wonderful experience! We left our hotel at 9am and returned after 2pm. There was 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 kids (4 and 6). The 6yo got to ride her own horse and she was delighted, Juan was wonderful guiding her horse and helping navigate the high waters. The 4yo stayed on the horse with his Dad which worked out great too. Another guide, Elena, was on the horse in the middle of the pack to make sure the horses behave. Be prepared to spend 1.5-2hrs on the horse, both on land and thru the water, 1hr break at the beach then 1.5hr back. I wish we wore our water shoes as your legs will definitely get wet when the horse walks through the river leading to the beach near Tayrona Park. Also, at the beach, I wish we took our swim suits, but instead we just got our clothes wet :-) most of the ride is in the sun so I recommend lots of sunscreen. Horses were wonderful for most part, a little wild but that just made the experience fun. Great time, the guides were both absolutely amazing and the experience was most definitely worth the price!

Wild Wild Fun - Wow! Juan David & Elda were excellent guides for a wonderful experience. Iā€™ve never ridden a horse before but they made me feel extremely comfortable, helped guide my horse when he was feeling timid or anxious, and by the end of the tour helped me feel as confident as someone whoā€™s been riding for years. While on horseback I felt like I was in Red Dead Redemption or The Hateful 8 or something like that. Beautiful cinematic views, crossing rivers, trekking through jungle, and arriving on the beach was a fun adventure. In addition Juan David made everything fun & helped everyone feel relaxed with his passionate and friendly energy. 11/10 experience, Iā€™d recommend this for anyone who is looking for a fun way to get to know Tayrona park.
