Embark on an 8 km trek along the shoreline of Melendugno, a site of significant scenic interest. Towering white cliffs overhang the sparkling clear waters, narrating the progression of the ecosystem. The tiny bays and natural holes within the rocky shoreline have held crucial value for mankind from primitive times. Our journey will reveal the interplay between nature’s forces and human influence on the terrain. We will dabble in the gathering of consumable wild plants, an activity intrinsic to human survival, predating even farming. To conclude our journey, we will savor dishes made of wild herbs and locally produced wine. This trip is purposed to offer a comprehensive appreciation of the terrain aided by the full use of one’s senses, with an emphasis on enhancing our olfactory perception (a sense often neglected by humans).
