Highlights

Established in 1885 by Francisco Undurraga, this is one of Chile’s oldest wineries. Mr Undurraga planted the first vines on the Santa Ana Estate in the heart of the Maipo Valley, initiating a project which went on to extend across the main areas of Chile, such as Alto Maipo, Leyda, Rapel and Cauquenes.

With 130 years of experience, Viña Undurraga makes unique wines of specific origin which reflect the best of the land and valleys of Chile.

Beautiful wineries/transportation average - The wineries were wonderful and gave great tours. The reason I rated it a 3 was because it didn’t make it clear that this is not a whole day event where you go from one winery to the next. We were picked up as a group from each hotel in the morning and then brought back for lunch. Because there were so many of us, we had very little time to eat because the next driver was coming less than an hour to pick us up for the afternoon winery. I would have preferred to find food close to one of the wineries and not be brought back to our hotel in the middle of the day. We also had a driver that was very late and hadn’t let us know that they would be late.

The first winery really made it... -
The first winery really made it, because it was like steeping back into history, but Concha Toro is so commercial, it was kind of a let down. Would be better if the tours were in reverse order.
