Kayaking is one of the best ways to experience the Mangel Halto coastline. With kayaking you can go to places that are very nice and not easy accesible to other forms of water transportation. Our experienced tour guides have a broad knowledge of the area and about the marine life. Kayaking is eco friendly and is also a good form of exercise.

Philip is an excellent guide and a great guy - My wife and daughter went out in a double kayak with Philip as their guide. It was really windy that day so I was a little worried that they would have a hard time out there, going to the reef across from Mangel Halto beach (the meeting point for the tour). And they did have a bit of difficulty, but Philip threw them a rope and just towed them along, no problem. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the reef, and even tried to point out the mountains of Venezuela way off in the distance, although it was just a bit too cloudy that day. We would definitely sign up for another tour with this guide, and use Viator - of course. They make it so easy to find tours / activities, sign up, modify and enjoy!

Great experience - Philip was a great guide. We had rough surf and excessive wind. Felt totally safe kayaking with Philip. Expect to get a little wet and enjoy the sites.

Great Experience and Snorkeling at Mike’s Reef (Spanish Lagoon) - Great tour and guide! This is somewhat of an open water kayak tour and current along with wind can make for a slight challenge but not too overwhelming either. Snorkeling Mike’s Reef can be difficult for individuals not comfortable floating inches above blade coral. Small to no fins recommended. Lots of life and coral formations.

Nice little workout with snorkeling too. - Viator your photo option functionality isn’t working. I wasn’t expecting a two man kayak. If asked I would’ve preferred an individual kayak so maybe I missed something. The waters were rough and the wind was high so it made paddling a challenge. My much heavier husband sat in the back realized that was a bad decision because the nose for kayak was lifted high therefore catching more air. I’m not sure why we couldn’t go to the reef like the crew just ahead of us but we saw very few fish. We ventured to the Spanish lagoon after Mangel Halto and it was smooth sailing there. I was impressed that our guide Phillip provided apples as my gluten free snack along with water. He took our pictures but unfortunately I cannot post them to this review. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Nice short kayak trip with snorking - Met at the beach with the mangroves and they had the kayak ready to go (we were 2 people and it was a double kayak). I forgot my sunglasses, so he drove me to a store to buy more! Went a short distance in the kayak to a small island (only tipping over once… so grateful they volunteered their dry bag for our stuff!) with a pier and went snorkeling around there. Interesting fish but not fabulous coral (it was cloudy out and a lot of the reef was damaged from other tourists). Water was a bit choppy but that was the part with the interesting fish and reef. They had water and trail mix for us. Had great conversation with the guide about the island - appreciated his perspective! After snorkeling, kayaked back (short) to the shore and they took care of getting everything cleaned up and out of the water. Overall, a nice time.
