Architecture forms the tangible base of any city, and within just over a hundred years, these five individuals became pivotal in the movement to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our city’s square design.

A guided on-foot exploration of the historical sector, this tour encompasses the inspection of historical dwellings and structures dating from 1817 to 1923. The session also includes a detailed study of the relevant architects’ works and their impact on the city.

An Afternoon To Remember - It was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Savannah. Our tour guide, Kelsey Palko, met us at Oglethorpe Square at the start of our tour. Tall and handsome with a warm smile, Kelsey gave us a remarkable walk through the streets and squares of the Savannah historic district. Without rushing he shared detailed descriptions of the five major architects who designed the beautiful buildings and homes that we saw. His knowledge is thorough and he answered our questions in detail. We are locals of Savannah and this was our first time doing a walking tour of the city. It was a personal tour that we will always remember. Can't wait to tell our guests to do it!!! Thank you very much!!

A must see tour while visiting Savannah! - Everything was memorable! The guide was knowledgeable and witty! He was very thorough and spent a lot of time explaining the architects styles and lives, which helps you remember. This tour was a full two hours of walking but could easily be longer due to all the beautiful homes and buildings.

Time well spent - Kelse was an excellent tour guide. He was of course fun and engaging, but the deep knowledge he had as a result of all of his research, beginning with the city founding and showing examples of the work of the most popular architects in Savannah along with Sharing biographical information and timelines made the history come alive.

Very Good - The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I was hoping this tour company specialized in architecture but it appears the business gives a variety of different tours and this was one. I just felt like there was something missing. Perhaps I was hoping for more of the history of the architecture/development of the whole city rather than a focus on a few architects. I was hoping to understand Savannah through its architecture and felt I didn’t get enough of that overall. At any rate. Well done. Just not perfect, imo.
