Highlights
  • Bainbridge Island Ferry - Take an iconic ferry boat from downtown Seattle, across Puget Sound, to Bainbridge Island on the way toward Olympic National Park.
  • Hood Canal Floating Bridge - Travel across the Hood Canal floating bridge.
  • Olympic Peninsula - A scenic drive from the ferry terminal toward Olympic National Park.
  • Elwha Dam Removal Site - Depending on the weather, we may visit the Elwha River ecosystem - home to the largest dam removal project on Planet Earth!
  • Olympic National Park - There isn’t a gate to pass through when you enter Olympic National Park. Instead, you suddenly notice the trees are bigger, the moss is greener, and you wouldn’t be surprised if Sasquatch ambled out of the forest as you pass by. Encompassing nearly 1 million miles, Olympic National Park is another world.
  • Lake Crescent - A peaceful glacial lake surrounded by towering old growth forest, Lake Crescent looks like something out of a Tolkien book.
  • Marymere Falls - Peaceful nature walk to a beautiful waterfall hidden among giant old trees.
  • Salt Creek Recreation Area - Depending on the weather, we may visit the North Coast of the Olympic Peninsula for a bit of tidepooling and photography.
  • Hurricane Ridge - When conditions are right, we’ll drive up to Hurricane Ridge to experience the sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains, Salish Sea, and even all the way across to Victoria and Vancouver Island.
In summer, we’ll travel up to wander along the trails through the subalpine meadows and try to spot deer and marmots among the wildflowers.
In winter, (road closure and weather dependent) we’ll trek along the ridge on snowshoes and experience how beautiful the change of seasons can be.
  • Washington State Ferries - We’ll board the ferry once again from Bainbridge Island. As we come across the Sound, the sunset lights up the Seattle Skyline to welcome you back to the city.
  • Seattle - We’ll drop you off back where we met you in the morning.

Great trip! - Had a great tour from Zach—very knowledgeable of the whole area (Olympic Park, Seattle, and everything between). Provided a lot of historical background on the land, especially Indigenous relationships to the area. Got to see salmon swimming up the Elwha River, a nearby waterfall, the beautiful green-blue color of Crescent Lake, amazing old growth forest, and the lovely estuary at the mouth of the Elwha, amongst other things. Also, great food!

Wonderful tour of Olympic National Park - Alex was our driver and tour guide. He was amazing!! Took us to three different areas and talked about lots of other interesting facts along the way. The lunch was UNBELIEVABLE!!! We enjoyed our day at Olympic so much!!! I forgot to mention the huge supply of drinks and snacks. Wow!! He had everything covered. We didn't have to bring anything.

This one will stick with me. - Getting to see the Olympic Peninsula up close and personal like this was a memory that will stick with me for the rest of my life. My girlfriend and I got exceptionally lucky on weather, but I still think that no matter when you go there is meaning to found in the unbelievabe wilderness that you're traveling through. This day trip was humbling and awe inspiring, and Evan was a great ambassador to show us the park and some of the history behind it.

Great experience - This is a wonderful trip for those traveling to Seattle who do not want to drive. We were picked up within a block of our hotel. An amazing lunch was provided along with snacks and drinks. Bathroom breaks are plentiful for those who may worry. Evan was our guide. He was very informative and humorous. He kept the tour moving and motivated. I’ve been on tours where the ride was silent. Evan was engaging and kept it interesting.

Olympic park Tour is a must! - Awesome trip. Park is about the size of Rhode Island. From 5,500 feet elevation then down to a rainforest. Astounding views. Also saw migrating salmon, swimming upstream to where they were born, which I found very moving. Spectacular sunset on the ferry too! Guide Ben was excellent, soliciting input from all about options.

Our day in Olympic NP! - We so enjoyed the entire day. our guide Zach Bradford, was terrific- he was a good listener, very knowledgeable and personable. He responded to all of our requests and made the experience all we had asked for, and hoped. Most memorable - The second half of the day with the Moments in Time Trail Walk, and Crescent Lake. We also enjoyed the ferry rides to and from Bainbridge Island! The catered lunch was delightful (although a bit of a repeat from the Viator we took the day before) and much enjoyable than the hoagie sandwich (which we fully expected). The size of the group was perfect and our fellow travelers were congenial and kind.

Amazing escape to nature - We did this amazing all day tour with Evergreen Escapes to Olympic NP with our guide, Karen. Karen made our trip special with her vast knowledge and welcoming spirit. We started by getting on the ferry and had coffee, tea, hot chocolate and delicious lemon poppyseed bread. During the 90 min drive to the park, she entertained us with fun facts and stories. She gave options for adjusting hikes tho our abilities and was very patient. We hiked Hurricane Ridge, saw salmon in the Elwa River, and hiked an old growth forest next to gorgeous Lake Crescent. We had a delicious lunch by the river and all the snacks we could eat. Karen was a great host and safe driver. Truly amazing and we booked Mt Ranier for next day with same company!
