We had a great time in the tour. Loved learning not only about the ghosts stories and the history behind the stories. It’s evident our fuide loves Tacoma and its history but also delivering the guided tour experience. We will definitely be taking more tours with Pretty Gritty Tours!

We enjoyed trying something new in a city we’ve lived in for many years and learning about its sordid past. The stories were great: a nice mix of history and spooky. The guide was underwhelming though. She seemed in prepared (her notebook with photos and the script was a mess), not very articulate for a trained story teller. She used a lot of Gen Z slang and filler words during the tour. She was also not very knowledgeable about the history of Tacoma, only seemed to know the script she was given and that’s it. I really enjoy these types of yours and try to go on them in every city I visit so I want Grit City to be successful. Please invest more time into training your guides to speak articulately and make sure thery have a good foundation of knowledge of the city and any potential questions that could come up during the tour. Simple things like, if you reference a building where something happened, tell us what’s there now. Overall I enjoyed the tour, just needs a little more polishing.
