Built to a twin pinnacled spur, about 250 feet high, jutting out a thousand foot rock wall, “solid as the rock of Peter” the building of the Chapel was completed in April, 1956.

Grand Canyon South Rim - Grand Canyon National Park and the city of Sedona are two of Arizona’s most impressive, most popular tourist destinations, and for good reason. The scale and majesty of the Grand Canyon is unfathomable, and Sedona’s red rock formations and desert landscape is as alluring as it gets.
The South Rim views are the classic Grand Canyon views with which you’re probably familiar. Wide, expansive, and panoramic - the Grand Canyon as seen from the South Rim is an almost surreal, unbelievable sight that will leave you changed forever.
There are three sections to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon: Desert View Drive, Grand Canyon Village, and Hermit Road. Each of these sections offers a slightly different experience, and if you have the time, it is worth it to visit each spot.

In Sedona, tour Bell Rock Vista, visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and shop in the uptown area, prior to proceeding to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Take time to appreciate the vistas from Grand Canyon Village and Yavapai Point. The tour offers spectacular sights of both the Grand Canyon and Bell Rock and includes up to three hours in the Grand Canyon National Park along with convenient hotel pick up and drop off.

It was such a great day!... - It was such a great day! From pick up, the drive with informative information about the area in which we were driving , the beautiful scenic views, our lunch venue, the music on the drive, but mostly our driver. He was incredible!

Great tour in a too-small vehicle. - Our guide Leif was excellent. The Grand Canyon and Sedona were superb. What wasn't so great was the size of the car. For five adult women, the car was too small. We suggest a minivan or a larger SUV.

Long Uncomfortable Drive - Our driver contacted us the day prior to our tour to confirm the pick up time. He again called us in the morning to tell us his ETA. All good so far. David picked the two of us up at our hotel in a Mercedes S Class. We thought, this is going to be a good day. Then the shoe dropped. We were going to pick up two more passengers. Well, that became the most uncomfortable tour we have ever been on. My husband and I shared a seat and a half - I road the middle back seat, the space of an armrest, over the hump for the whole day. The driver was a friendly guy and a good driver, but if you are expecting a tour guide look for another trip. He drove us the 2 1/4 hours to Sedona and we had a half hour stop at the Chapel to the Holy Cross. After that we made an hour stop in Uptown Sedona. From Sedona, we drove another 2 1/2 hours, non-stop, not even a 5 minute stretch break, until we reached the Grand Canyon. When we asked what the plan was for the visit to the National Park, there was none. We ended up with a 90 minute visit to the Grand Canyon followed by 4 hour ride back to Sedona - at least on the ride back we made a stop for gas! In the end, we spent 8 hours 45 minutes in an uncomfortable car ride, 2 hours on tour and an hour to shop in Sedona. The timing of the trip in the description is deceiving. You will not get 3 hours at the Grand Canyon on this tour.
