What makes Kerid unique is its stunning appearance – the crater is characterized by its vividly colored red volcanic rock, with a lake that has formed within the caldera.
The lake within Kerid is relatively shallow and exhibits a strikingly vivid blue-green color. Surrounding the crater, there are steep slopes of red volcanic rock and green moss, creating a picturesque and contrasting landscape. The caldera is about 55 meters deep, 170 meters wide, and 270 meters across.
