Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - The House of the Virgin Mary is located 6 km (3.7 mi) from Ephesus and surrounded by pine and olive trees. It is made of stone and looks very small and humble. Outside the house is a “wishing wall,” which pilgrims have used by tying their intentions on paper or fabric. A nearby water source is also believed to have miraculous healing powers. Several popes visited the shrine after the first visit of the VI. Paul in 1967.

Turkey tour guide, Gem is the best! - Gem was amazing, he guided us though the house of the Virgin Mary, temple of Artemis and the ancient ruins. We also got to see traditional weaving of rugs which was super cool. Overall great experience!
