Hallasan Mountain, the iconic centerpiece of Jeju Island, is also known as Mt. Yeongjusan, which translates to ‘mountain high enough to pull the galaxy.’ This mountain is celebrated for its geological significance and has been recognized as a national park since 1970, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2002, a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007, and a UNESCO Geopark in 2010.

Eoseungsaengak, reaching a height of 1,169m above sea level, offers a 1.3 km trail to the summit that typically takes about 30 minutes to ascend.

From the peak, visitors can marvel at the panoramic views of Jeju city on one side and the peak of Mt. Halla on the other.

If the path is closed due to inclement weather such as heavy rain, snow, or ice, an alternative visit to Mountain Songak or other indoor museums will be arranged.

Excellent Tour in Jeju - Excellent tour with the small group in Jeju. Very good organised with a different activities from hiking to calm walk. Our guide & driver Jin was ultra friendly and given us many interesting information about culture and society in Jeju. Lunch was delicious with the local specialities. Thank you for showing us a part of your culture.

South circuit day trip of Jeju Island - We had such a pleasant day seeing the sites on this tour. Our guide Henry was amazing. Professional, informed with the perfect amount of humour! We saw a lot of different things, but never felt rushed. I'd recommend doing this tour if you are looking at options.

A Good Tour - Jay started the tour by having everyone introduce themselves; it was a great way to break the ice and put everyone at ease. Jay was punctual, friendly, patient and helpful. Mr. Kim, our driver, was also very friendly and helpful. We had already done the East & West Course Tours with Core, and feel that the South Course itinerary was the best in terms of time allocation for each location. However, we were somewhat disappointed to have been taken to another tea farm (the West Course had a tea farm visit as well, albeit a different farm). Since our group was picked up from Jeju City, I think some time in the town of Seogwipo would have been nice.

Jeju experience - This is our first time visiting Jeju and had a wonderful time because of our tour guide, Henry. We learned so much about the island/Jeju city and Henry went above and beyond to make sure our experience is nothing but perfect. We fell in love with the island and wish we could extend our stay because there is still so much to see. We hope to come back again. Thanks Henry.

Nice and reliable - Good tour, it was just as described so no bad surprises. I also like the van, they are modern and comfortable. The guides speak good English and they are nice and helpful. They gave us good tips.

Good experience - Great points of interests. It is a shame because of the weather we could not do the scheduled hike, but it was replaced by a visit to Camelia Hills. It was nice to be in a small group. We could have done more on that day. We had a lovely guide but his English and punch could have been better.
