Fun kayak experience - Kayaking through the mangrove forest was an experience like no other. As we paddled into the dense thicket of tangled roots and arching branches, the world around us transformed into a serene, green sanctuary. The mangroves formed a natural tunnel, their twisted limbs filtering the sunlight into a dappled mosaic on the water’s surface. The air was thick with the scent of brine and earth, and the only sounds were the rhythmic splash of our paddles and the occasional call of a distant bird. The water, calm and clear, mirrored the rich foliage above, creating an almost surreal reflection. Small fish darted beneath us, and every so often, a ripple would betray the presence of a larger creature moving through the shadows. Navigating through the narrow channels required careful maneuvering. We had to duck under low-hanging branches and weave around the gnarled roots that jutted out from the water. Despite the challenge, there was a meditative rhythm to it. Each stroke of the paddle brought us deeper into the heart of this untouched wilderness. Occasionally, we would pause to take in the quiet beauty around us. The mangroves stood as silent sentinels, their roots gripping the water like ancient, knotted fingers. Above us, the canopy swayed gently, whispering secrets carried by the breeze. It felt as if we had entered a hidden world, far removed from the bustle of everyday life. As we ventured further, we encountered more wildlife. A heron stood motionless on a branch, eyeing us curiously. Crabs scuttled across exposed roots, and in the distance, we spotted the splash of a fish leaping out of the water. Each sighting added to the magic of the journey, reminding us of the rich biodiversity supported by these unique ecosystems. After several hours of exploration, we emerged from the mangroves back into the open water, where the bright sun greeted us once more. The transition was almost jarring, as if we were stepping from one world back into another. As we paddled back to shore, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of peace and a renewed appreciation for the natural world. Kayaking through the mangrove forest had been more than just an adventure; it was a journey into a hidden, mystical realm where nature reigned supreme and time seemed to stand still.

The best 10km kayaking experience ever! - It is one of the most super chill, most intimate and educational 10km kayak experience I've ever been on. It's a nice escape from the city. It was sort of a road trip for me because the journey from the city to the jetty was a long nice 1hr 10min drive from Kuala Lumpur. It was a perfect weekend drive out too. Thank you Damien and AiVee for being so passionate in educating us about the mangroves, the river, and how the wildlife on the Sungai Pelek live and thrive. Very eye opening. Also the lunch was perfect and thank you for guiding us. I highly recommend this 10km tour.

A lifetime experience-absolutely wonderful - A lifetime experience- totally awesome. The real deal. Four hours in a kayaks in a magnificent setting with an excellent knowledgeable and friendly guide Aivee. Her expertise and passion for the mangrove swamps shone through. Aivee was also an excellent Kayaking instructor and we had a comprehensive safety brief. A few mosquitoes at dusk and sun cream hat and sunglasses are needed. A change of clothes is necessary as you will get wet - leave them on the jetty, We saw eagles, herons, king fishers and mud skippers and monkeys. There is more to mangrove swamps than you can imagine and their importance is totally underestimated. The 1600 to 2000 tour meant we were on the water for a stunning sunset. Thank you Aivee for an experience of a lifetime. This is 35 minutes from PD - book a return taxi if you are not driving We will certainly book a weekend on your jetty next time.
