Fun and adventurous day, a MUST to add on your Lisbon trip! - This day was definitely one of the highlights of my vacation in Lisbon. Early in the morning we all gathered near a station where our guide Sofia picked us up. We drove to Sesimbra and on our way over there Sofia told us a lot about the history of Lisbon and about the monuments we passed. Marquês de Pombal was of course one there was a lot to tell us about. Out of the city we saw cork trees alongside the road. When we arrived in Sesimbra Sofia gave us instructions on how to get in the boats, wear our vests etcetera. And then the water adventure began! It was really relaxing aswelll as sportive. We saw loads of fish swimming around us, and the water was very clear and blue. After paddling for a while enjoying the beautiful surroundings existing out of beautiful water, amazing cliffs and caves we paddled in and out of, we arrived at a secluded beach. On the beach Sofia spoiled us with some lovely local pastries and we could all go for a swim. There were a few strong waves and the water was fairly cold but my oh my did I enjoy the sea. Definitely a beautiful location! (had to share a picture) Later that day when we paddled back to Sesimbra, we drove up to a castle that had a beautiful view of the city. There Sofia told us a bit more about local history. Before we drove back to Lisbon she treated us with a delicious local wine of which I can't remember the name. But what I do remember is that it had a soft sweet taste. After that Sofia drove us back to the place she picked us up from. This day was amazing and definitely a must if you're in Lisbon. Great addition to your Lisbon-trip! - What a wonderful day this was! We left early in the morning and headed for Sesimbra, a delightful beach resort with a pristine coastline. On our way over there, our tour guide Sophia told us stories about all the historical monuments we past, and showed us what cork trees looked like (as it's one of the biggest exports of Portugal). When we arrived in Sesimbra, she instructed us what to do and took us out along the shoreline. The water was gorgeous! Ice cold, but gorgeous nonetheless. We went in and out of caves, saw lots of fish swimming around us and learned loads about our surroundings (Sophia really knows her stuff!). Around lunchtime we paddled over to a secluded beach where Sophia treated us to local Portugese sweets. Afterwards we paddled back, and drove up to a castle where we could look out over the whole town, and even see Lisbon from a far! We ended the day with some sort of sweet local wine (can't remember the name, but I DO remember it being so delicious that I came back for a few refills..), and headed back to Lisbon. Definitely one of our highlights during our visit to Lisbon! :) :)

Great day trip outside of Lisbon - We started early in the morning, were very lucky with the weather and had a great day out kayaking in Sesimbra. We paddled along the shoreline, going in and out of coves and caves, while seeing birds and fish. Our tour guide Sofia was great, as she told us lots about local geology and wild life as well as some history. We reached a beach around midday and had some snacks and got some Portugueses sweets. After spending time at the beach we finally headed back on land, to then drive up to the castle and enjoy the view together with a sweet wine... all in all, a very full and eventful day which will go into the "happy-memory-folder" :) Very recommendable.

Relaxed fun with a local touch - We started the day with a drive to the local market to grab fresh produce for lunch on the beach later - breads, salamis, fruit and cheese - all super fresh and cheap. We then kayaked to a fairly quiet beach where we got to enjoy the sun, a dip in the water, lunch - and our guide Lorenzo provided us with local pastries from the area. After lunch we kayaked back and went up to the nearby castle on a hill where our other guide, Sofia - talked through a brief history of the castle. We finished the day with some sweet moscatel wine and biscuits. Relaxed pace and lovely atmosphere - really enjoyed this tour!

Best day of our trip! - Fabulous day on the water and on the beach. Lorenzo and Sofia were awesome guides. Being picked up at our Air BNB was fantastic. The views and experience while kayaking was phenomenal!! I highly recommend this trip!! Gorgeous!

Amazing views - This was great experience. Good people and great weather. You get to see places that you would be able unless by boat. A lot of fun.

Ocean Kayak Trip - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the day long excursion via kayaks to the wonderful beach. Sofia and Lorenzo were excellent hosts, and very informative of the region, and Portugal in general. Fantastic time.

Fabulous experience - I highly recommend this activity for everyone, no matter what age. The activity was very well organized, the guides were the best ones and the views were magnificent. If you want to spend a great day with the nature, you must do it!
