Take a guided excursion to Italica, the earliest Roman settlement established in the Iberian Peninsula, and the birth site of Emperors Trajan and Hadrian. The crowning feature of this archaeological wonder is the Amphitheatre, ranked the third largest globally, boasting a seating capacity of 25,000. Not only is Italica renowned for its impressive mosaics and ‘domus’, you’ll also have the chance to explore the restored medieval fortress monastery named ‘San Isidoro del Campo’ - all in the comfort of a minivan.

Scenes from the hit series Game of Thrones were shot in and around Italica’s Roman ruins. Notably, the Roman Amphitheatre of Italica was filmed as the Dragonpit, a significant location in the seventh season where key characters convened for a meeting.

Highly recommend! - Well done tour of the ruins and monastery! Our guide, Laon, was knowledgeable and fun and gave a really interesting and in depth perspective on the history and archaeology of the area. The tour bus was comfortable, and the journey was quick. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for the mildly uneven terrain.

Italica and monastery - Loved the tour! Catherine was a great guide! The time spent in Italica was just right. We didn’t feel rushed at all. The monastery we visited was beautiful. We would not have found that on our own. Highly recommend this tour.
