Highlights
  • The Bund - Your tour guide will meet you at the airport exit at 08:30 a.m. or upon your flight’s arrival. From there, you’ll be transferred to the Bund to begin your exciting Shanghai Private Tour. The Bund, a renowned waterfront on the west bank of the Huangpu River, is considered a symbol of Shanghai. It showcases the city’s blend of century-old history and vibrant future, making it a must-see attraction. You’ll see 26 buildings of various architectural styles, including the Peace Hotel, Shanghai Customs House, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Other highlights include the Sculpture on the Bund, Monument to the People’s Heroes, Huangpu Park, and Waibaidu Bridge, along with views of the high rises across the Huangpu River.

Next, we’ll head to Pudong New Area via the sightseeing tunnel.

  • Pudong New Area - This bustling district is known for its modern attractions, businesses, skyscrapers, and shopping malls, all featuring the latest in entertainment, technology, and fashion. We’ll walk along the Lujiazui Ring Bridge, an excellent spot for photographing skyscrapers.
  • Shanghai Tower - As the tallest building in Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower stands at 632 meters. Its 118th floor houses the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory.’ Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition hall on floor B1 before taking the express elevator, which reaches the 118th floor in just 55 seconds at a speed of 18 meters per second. From here, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai and take in the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River from the 119th floor.

Afterwards, we’ll transfer to Nanjing Road for a lunch featuring local specialties.

  • Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road) - Known as the ‘No. 1 commercial street in China,’ Nanjing Road has been a city landmark for a long time. Spanning 5.5 kilometers, it features over 600 shops that attract around 1.7 million visitors daily. Here, you can find everything from affordable souvenirs to luxurious global brands. You can also explore the surrounding neighborhoods and see the thinnest building.

Next, we’ll explore the Former French Concession area, including Xintiandi and the Shikumen Museum.

  • Xintiandi - This tourist attraction preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural features while blending Chinese and Western cultures. Xintiandi is divided into two parts: the south, dominated by modern architecture, and the north, featuring Shikumen old buildings. This area has become a trendy pedestrian street in the city center, representing the leisurely lifestyle of Shanghai’s new generation. Outdoor cafes, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant.
  • Shikumen Museum, Shanghai - This museum is housed in a preserved and renovated Shikumen house from the 1920s. It features seven main exhibition rooms: the guest room, study room, old people’s room, master room, daughter room, pavilion room, and oven room. The museum tells the story of a Shikumen family, showcasing the unique architectural culture of Shanghai and the lifestyle of its residents in the 1920s.
  • Jade Buddha Temple - An active monastery and one of Shanghai’s most popular temples, the Jade Buddha Temple is home to two beautiful jade Buddhas and a vast collection of statues, relics, and art. Despite its relatively short history, the temple’s classical architectural style makes it a unique and serene spot in the modern city. Whether you’re a Buddhist or not, the peaceful atmosphere offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Finally, you’ll be comfortably transferred back to the airport to catch your flight or to a nearby hotel. Cherish your memories and bid farewell.
