  • People’s Square (Renmin Guang Chang) - Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to People’s Square and start the highlight tour.
    Shanghai People’s Square is located at the very center of Shanghai and is the demarcation point of East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a flourishing place for people to look around.
    Before 1949, the area of Shanghai People’s Square and the People’s Park was used as a famous horse racetrack which was built in 1861, honored as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in Far East’. Visitors still can find the ruins for the former main building standing at the northeast part of the People’s Square.
    We will see many scenic spots around people’s square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Later, we will visit Shanghai Museum.
  • Shanghai Grand Theater - We will admire the facade of Shanghai Grand Theater.
    Shanghai Grand Theater is uniquely designed and beautifully shaped. It combines western and Chinese architectural styles perfectly. The white arched vault sets off glass curtain walls like a crystal palace.
  • Hotel Park Hotel Shanghai - As a classic example of art deco architecture designed by Laszlo Hudec. Park Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Shanghai. It was the tallest building ever in Shanghai. Here is used as the central origin of Shanghai urban coordinate axis. Park Hotel is considered an architectural milestone that lends a touch of historic charm to the animated cityscape.
  • Mu’en Church - Mu’en Church is located on Xizang Zhong Lu, in the middle of department stores right across from People’s Square. It was formerly named the Moore Church to memorize the great American donator Moore. The church was a new gothic church designed by a European architect - Laszlo Hudec. It features a brick-and-wood structure. It has a big lobby, and the central part is the main body of the church. The rectangle pillars in the hall, the balusters in the balcony and the bema are covered with artificial stones. The concrete ribbed vault can be seen inside the church.

  • Madame Tussauds Shanghai - Madame Tussauds Shanghai, which opened to the public in 2006, is the sixth in the world. It is situated on the tenth floor of New World Building, West Nanjing Road.   • Bird And Flower Market(South Xizang road) - The tour will start by the crossing of Tibet Road and Fangbang Road, in one of Shanghai’s many antique neighborhoods, also known as the cricket market. Its full of flowers, bonsai, birds, fish insects and crowds of people searching for whatever their hearts desire. It is a good place to experience part of a local’s life kind of life.

Then, we will walk around Yuayuan Old Street and visit classical garden.

  • Yuyuan Old Street - Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here.     Then, we visit the largest of Shanghai’s ancient gardens - Yu Garden.
  • Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Yu Garden was a private garden of the Pan family in the Ming Dynasty. It was the largest and most prestigious of its era in Shanghai after it was completed.
    Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The exquisite layout, beautiful scenery, and the artistic style of the garden architecture have made the garden one of the highlights of Shanghai.
    You can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.

At last, we will take a cruise to enjoy the scenery along the Huangpu River.

  • Huangpu River - The Huangpu River divides two iconic but different Shanghai sights: high modern buildings in the Pudong area and 26 various buildings of different architectural styles on the west side. We will take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river including the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower.
