Highlights
  • Meiji Jingu Shrine - Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city’s oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
  • Takeshita Street - Takeshita Street / Omotesando:
Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan’s leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku’s cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan’s leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
  • Tsukiji Fish Market - Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
  • Tokyo Tower - Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo’s symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower’s majestic appearance.
  • Senso-ji Temple - Sensoji is Tokyo’s oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

The perfect tour - Yoshi was exceptional as a tour guide. He assessed my familiy's interests and provided tailored recommendations that were well suited based on time, walking/distances, pace, and weather conditions. His knowledge, patience, warm and calm demeanor established a strong rapport with all the members of my family. Yoshi was extremely well prepared with water, cooling fans, ice packs, wet wipes (to contend with the hot weather). Yoshi went above and beyond by providing change at the various shrines and explained the prayer process when visiting a shrine. He made my family's experience a truly memorable one.

An unforgettable trip! - We had a great time during the tour, visiting several points of views and museums. Also, I want to appreciate our guide Nak for telling us about Japanese tradition and leading us to some exhibitions which may be not that well-known but really interesting. It's indeed a wonderful trip!

Above and Beyond - Awesome tour experiencing the both the major landmarks and life living in Tokyo. Nak was super kind and friendly, guiding us the places according the our presences and to avoid the hot weather. He is also very experienced in the life of Tokyo, recommending different restaurants and showing us the Tokyo that regular tourists often mislooked. Excellent tour for its flexibility!

Excellent intro to Tokyo! - Do not hesitate to book this tour - it was excellent introduction to this huge city! We had the wonderful guide named Nak show us around Tokyo for the day, it was our first visit to Japan and he gave us a great introduction to some of the famous sights, how to navigate the transport options, and just enough historical detail not to overload us. He was wonderful with my children as well. I highly recommend this tour! Thanks Again Nak!

Walking tour of Tokyo with Ken! - Ken was an outstanding guide during our walking tour of Tokyo on Monday, July 8th. He never rushed us, ensuring we enjoyed every spot to the fullest. He even stayed an additional 1-2 hours to make sure we covered all the locations. Ken's extensive knowledge was impressive. He took the time to explain the culture, history, and details, enhancing our experience significantly. We highly recommend Ken for guided tours in Tokyo. His expertise and dedication made our trip unforgettable.

A great first Tokyo trip experience - Yuki Shiraga was very knowledgeable of the history. It was a walking tour and with it being in August, it was pretty hot. Yuki was very patient and went out of her way to take us shopping. Recommended!!!

Tiring but educational - Don't come to Japan in July if are not ready for the heat. Mr. Isao is patient with us since we are not used to walking too much and the hot weather is not a good combination. We enjoyed tsukiji market the most! Food is perfect.

Not what we expected - Our tour guide was very nice but the tour description was very misleading. We assumed that a private tour would include private transportation. That is what we thought we were paying for knowing we would pay for other expenses. Instead, we ended up taking the metro to get to the various locations, which made the experience a bit more complex. This is something that we could have done on our own without a guide. So this tour wasn’t any different than guiding ourselves. The guide did not provide a lot of information and it was very hard to hear. My recommendation for future tours is to provide a vehicle to get around to the various must see locations, especially in the summer months where the heat is strong.
