- Please be aware the Cathedral of Siena is an “operating” church, and it can be closed to visitors for any liturgical reason, even without warning (for the funeral of a Cardinal, for example).
- Access to the Facciatone depends on weather permitting.
- The floor mosaics are completely uncovered from 27th June until 31st of July, and from 18th August until 16th October. For the rest of the year, the floor will be partially covered.

Comprehensive 3 hour Siena walking tour - Very knowledgeable guide who took extra time to ensure we had the full experience within 3 hours. The additional tour of the underground frescoes and climb to the unfinished facade was a treat!

Inspirational! - Anna was so knowledgeable and passionate about Siena, Saint Caterina, The Duomo, and the art surrounding Siena. The optional Crypt and Museum is a must! Memories have been made! GRAZIE ANNA!!

Very informative tour - I was the only one on the tour and found it very useful and informative. My guide was very friendly and she spoke to me about the history of siena and the different contrade in the town, and also about the horse race they have every year and role this plays in the cities culture.
I learnt loads on this tour and would suggest it to anyone looking to learn more about the town and get a feel for the place

Religion tour with a hint of history! - Good tour in the cathedral and church
We felt it was mainly religious focus with some history only , rather than the opposite, not much was given about the rich history of Siena and the renaissance period .

Beautiful - I really liked the tour and would have given it more stars but it was a bit hard to understand everything that was being told to us. Our guide was lovely but we missed much in translation! The cathedral is really beautiful and worth seeing!

Different than expected - Guide had difficulty with English, was very slow, and spoke a lot about things not related to the sites. Spent an hour and a half at the San Domenico church and the house of Saint Catherine, so we only had 10 min at the Basilica by the time we reached it. Also she kept referencing her phone in between exhibits, and sometimes would send us into the area to see something and then provide the history AFTER we had viewed it. The tour was not what we had expected.
