Highlights
  • Chinatown - Your tour is a fun and educational discovery of 3 ethnic neighbourhoods: Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam. You will learn more about its history and experience local living, through walking in the area as well as sampling local street food at UNESCO inscribed hawker centres at Chinatown and Little India, and dessert in the Malay Quarter of Kampong Glam.

In Chinatown, you will learn more about the lives of early Chinese immigrants who flocked here in large numbers due to the vibrant community and work opportunities. Businessmen, traders, craftsmen, hawkers and peddlers sought to make a living here. While some found success, many others found themselves succumbed to vices like opium, gambling and prostitution. Remnants of these memories can still be found along the streets of Chinatown and you will get the opportunity to relive the lives of the past in the present day.

BEST TOUR IN SINGAPORE!!!! - Gerry was an absolutely wonderful tour guide! He met us in the morning at our hotel and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire trip. His thorough stories about Singapore covered its past, present, and future, offering a comprehensive lesson on all three areas we visited. This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip! AND ALL OF THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!

Singapore Food and History - This tour allows you to experience Singapore's various types of food and the cultural diversity in a day. Gerry, our tour guide, has been in the business for over 14 years and his knowledge of the city and its history was impressive. We tasted a wide variety of foods and local beverages, in areas of the city we would not have found on our own. Transportation was provided, due to the long distance between venues, including Tram and the Subway, which we surly would not have figured out on our own. At the end of the day we could not have eaten or drank more... so come hungry.

Intimate & Informative - Gerry is a great guide. He has an intimate knowledge of local food and cultures and gave us a lot of information about the history of Singapore and its food. The small group meant we could talk to Gerry on a personal level and ask a lot of questions. Highly recommend.

This is the one you’re looking for! - Amazing tour. Gerry is communicative all throughout the process (before, during, and after your tour). He leads an engaging small group. He is knowledgeable yet approachable. You could also immediately tell he was a man of character. Taking his tour felt like a friend was showing you around town. This was all in addition to the delicious food and drink experienced. Do not hesitate. This is the experience to book!

Unforgettable Day and Guide. - This experience was unbelievable. I don’t usually do reviews but Gerry , our guide was fantastic. This is much more than a food tour which in self was beyond expectation. The culture and past historical pictures Gerry shared helped complete the stories. Gerry will introduce you to friends he sees during the tour. I mean we were shaking hands with locals that greeted you with big smiles. My advice, take this tour early in your visit. Go with an empty stomach. And don’t cheat yourself with any other guide than Gerry. Again, I don’t usually do reviews. But this tour is very impressive and a huge winner.

Food tour in Singapore - At each of the three neighborhoods we visited our guide Gerry had us speak with local people. The food he ordered for us was delicious. Gerry was very knowledgeable and showed us what the neighborhoods looked like in the past.

Great Tour Guide - Gerry, the guide, was great. Took excellent care of everyone in the group. Native of Singapore with lots of information and opinions. We enjoyed the food of Little India in particular. The food in Chinatown was just okay--not a lot of flavor--but lots of it . All in all, though, it was a good experience.
