Miguel the tour guide was... - Miguel the tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. Car was very comfortable and he was always concerned about our needs. Pena Palace, Monserrate and Quinta da Regaleira are amazing and having a guide is very helpful. PS. The grounds of Pena are so vast you could get lost, not an easy part to tour. The grounds ARE an integral part of Quinta and I think a guide is a must. Monserrate is an architectural beauty in itself. It also has grounds, but it seems that viewing them from a distance is sufficient.

Highly Recommend this Private Tour - Booked a last minute private tour for 4 people with Van Go Tours. Communication was excellent and prompt. They were flexible with our schedule and had a Mercedes van which was clean and comfortable. Their tour guide, Joao, was the best part of the tour. Another couple with us said they had taken the tour with another company and only learned a third of what our tour guide explained to us. Tour of Sentra and the other monuments was fantastic, steep with history and culture. We skipped the lines and the tour bus crowds as our tickets were included. Lunch was at the seaside village of Cascais in a delicious restaurant with the best desserts. Joao paced the tour for us perfectly. Highly recommend using Van Go!
