Best Day of our Whole Trip! - Our group of 6 had the most amazing time hiking around Sintra with Samuel. He grew up in Sintra and had all kinds of great tidbits of info as we hiked up to the Moorish castle, Peña Palace other sights It was far better on foot to really see the sights and learn from him. We ended the morning tour at a pastry shop, had some amazing snacks and then he called Diogo his partner and they took us on our unscheduled and unbooked car tour of the coast, the western point of Europe and most amazingly, an impromptu lunch at a very authentic super local bar where Diogo (a trained archaeologist) expounded on the history of Portugal, The Templars and so much more! It was by far my most favorite day of our entire trip! Do not miss these guys- they were personable, knowledgeable, easy going and so wonderful!!!

Best way to see Sintra. - What an awesome way to see incredible Sintra! The hikes in between palaces were beautiful. We spent time being guided by both Samuel and Diogo. Their knowledge of the area and Portugal’s history was amazing. I would happily take the same tour again the next time I’m in Portugal.
