Tour with Francisco! - We spent the day with Francisco to tour Sintra and Cascais and it was absolutely amazing! Francisco is the absolute best!! He is the kindest person who has so much knowledge and taught us so much. Our two teenage daughters absolutely loved the tour as well. The sites were beautiful and he was able to make the day so special that we will never forget. We traveled in his comfortable car with panoramic views, wifi and he had water for us on hand as well. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a tour with Francisco! If we had more time in Lisbon I would have had him take us on a tour of other areas of Lisbon.

Best Tour Guide in Lisbon!! - My daughter and I hired Francisco to take us to Sintra and Cascais for the day. He picked us up exactly on time at our hotel in Lisbon. He had a clean and spacious vehicle with wifi and waters. He was incredible at customizing the day to exactly what my daughter and I wanted to do and see. He is so knowledgeable about all the sites and Portugal’s history. It was are favorite day in Lisbon by far. I highly recommend!!!!

Francisco is the best!! - Francisco is simply the best! He takes pride in his work and is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. He helped me when planning ahead to understand what we could reasonably do in Sintra while still making the most of our day. He truly wanted us to have the best day possible and that mission was most definitely accomplished!!

Francisco is the best!! - We cannot say enough about Francisco who goes out of his way to make all parts of the day as enjoyable and smooth as possible. He is informative about the area, helpful in giving tips on how to best execute the day and overall incredibly friendly and accommodating. We loved seeing Pena Palace, Quinta Regalaria, Monserrate and enjoying lunch in old sintra! Once you visit this are you see how confusing it can be for a tourist so having Francisco made it so we could make the most of our day and not have to worry about a thing!

What a great tour . We... - What a great tour . We had a blast . It was a perfect private tour, we could make changes if we wanted to stay longer or see something different . Francisco was the best . He was very knowledgeable and so kind . I would definitely recommend you to do this tour if you are visiting Lisbon .

Experienced guide makes a difference! - We had a wonderful private tour with Francisco today. I lived in Portugal 30 years ago but this was my first time back. I used to visit Sintra often when I lived here but had read that road restrictions would make this difficult so I decided to hire a guide. There are so many guides now in Portugal but I wanted someone licensed by the tourism bureau. I found Francisco through a Facebook group. Francisco picked us up from the door of our AirBnB. Even though we left early (8am), we ran into a lot of traffic. Francisco was a calm driver and his minivan is large, clean and comfortable. . We had to pivot a couple of times due to crowds but we had a wonderful day. Francisco took us to Penha palace, the village of Sintra, Monserrat Palace (don’t miss this - it’s outstanding) and Cabo de Rocha. Francisco knows all the history and interesting facts. He provided us with additional info on things to do while in Portugal. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic Day Trip to Sintra & Cabo da Roca - My husband and just returned from our 10 day trip to Portugal. At the top of our list was a day in Sintra , Azenhas do Mar, and Cabo da Roca. Francesco Basso was the first to respond to our request for a tour, and we couldn’t have asked for a better ambassador to Portugal. We weren’t exactly sure how much we could see in one day but Francesco customized our trip and added so much more to our experience with his knowledge of history and familiarity with all the highlights of what we wanted to see in one day. He speaks 4 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French and English) fluently. He grew up in Lisbon and shared so much information about his beautiful country that made our trip beyond enjoyable. He is extremely kind and was very conscientious that we absolutely got the most out of our tour. He picked us up at our hotel at 8 am in Cascais and we spent the entire day with him in his comfortable air conditioned panoramic van. He took us on a tour of Cascais first, then off to Sintra. He helped us with our ticket purchases to the Peña Palace and the Quinta da Regaleira Castles and offered a lot of invaluable information surrounding the history of these Castles.They were both incredible! He waited for us after each attraction and showed us around Sintra village where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Tasca Saloia, and met Carlos, the owner, who was so welcoming (again, thanks to Francesco who knew Carlos and chose this lovely restaurant). We toured the sites of Sintra and then headed up to coastline for Cabo da Roca which is the westernmost point of continental Europe. It was breathtaking. Francesco took many amazing pictures of us throughout our tour and had so much information to share everywhere we went. He dropped us off at our hotel in Cascais at the end of the day and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour. We give Francisco Basso a 5 star rating. Book with him and you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Tour Guide With A Fantastic Customizable Itinerary - I highly recommend this tour.Sintra and Cacias must see locations around the Lisbon area, and Francisco the tour guide is so friendly, knowledgeable and makes an incredibly comfortable environment for you to take in all the sights. 12/10 must do trip!
