• Parque e Palacio de Monserrate - Writers’ retreat, Monserrate attracted numerous foreign travelers, particularly the English, who extolled its beauty in travel accounts and engravings. When Francis Cook, a wealthy English industrialist from the 19th century and a great art collector, visited the site, he was captivated. From that passion emerged a masterpiece of Romanticism: the Monserrate Park and Palace.

• Penedo - Considered one of the 49 pre-finalists in the 7 Wonders of Portugal, in the Villages category, Penedo is still regarded as one of the most traditional villages in Sintra, possibly the most traditional of all.

• Cabo da Roca - Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe, situated at the edge of the Sintra Mountains, and one of Portugal’s most emblematic locations. Dating back to 1722, it consists of a 22-meter-high tower, and its light has a luminous range of about 26 nautical miles, roughly 48 kilometers.

• Azenhas do Mar - A true picture-postcard scene, Azenhas do Mar surprises with its geographical location, where houses cascade down the cliffside to the sea, bathed in an idealized, whitewashed light.

It’s one of the most beloved beaches for swimmers, featuring an ocean pool that delights visitors.

The sandy area doesn’t exceed 30 meters, yet during high tides, it can entirely disappear.

Once an old fishing village, it has, in recent decades, transformed into a tranquil summer spot and a source of inspiration for many painters like Júlio Pomar, Emílio da Paula Campos, or Milly Possoz.
