Meeting the dogs and ... - Meeting the dogs and the sledding. The staff were so nice and answered questions. The tour was amazing. Only bad thing was , we didn't have enough time at the dog sledding camp.

Great visit - The BBQ was ok, but not the reason for the visit. The dogsled experience was short but thrilling. The dogs were in training and there was no snow on the ground since we visited in September, but so much fun! I could have stayed there for hours petting and playing with the very friendly team.

Witnessing how excited... - Witnessing how excited the dogs were to pull the “sled “ was very gratifying. My group really wasn’t sure what we would see when we planned this excursion. The ride behind that dog team was a great experience, and our driver was extremely knowledgeable about each dog in the team. Afterwards, in the petting zoo, the puppies were very playful with my grandson. We were slightly disappointed however, that we couldn’t adopt the last puppy available, and take him with us to the cruise ship!

Amazing and so many cute dogs ! - This tour was amazing, Eric our tour guide was knowledgeable and showed us cool sites on the way to the dog sled experience. It is their training camp, and it was very interesting to learn how they train and to take a ride with the dogs . Puppies where available for adoption and I wish I could of brought one home !

Fun outing - great trip - This was a highlight for our Alaska cruise, the bus drive was great, the driver was fun and knowledgeable, the food was good, the whole experience was awesome. The only thing that I would have wanted was a better sled experience that didn't just go in circles - Still very glad that we did it though - and I definitely suggest it for other visitors!

Sightseeing was FANTASTIC! Dog Sledding was good, could be better. - We participated in the "Yukon Discovery & Sled Dog" adventure booked through Southeast Tours. Clay Harper was an awesome guide! He was clear spoken, had interesting facts and stories, was quick to offer his assistance with photos and is just an all-around really nice guy! The bus ride up and back was one of our best Alaskan experiences! So very glad we did it! Didn't hurt that our weather was perfect once we entered Canada!! The dog sledding was ok. It was fun, but we think it should be twice as long a route as it was. It was a simple 10 min ride on a well worn path. The young lady who took us out was upbeat and gave some fun facts and details; but we were left wanting to know some of the mushing commands (i.e. how did the dogs know whether to go right or left at the fork) and more time on the ride. We wish there had been better interaction, maybe some amazing Iditarod stories, an "ambassador" husky, just more to the sled dog experience. For the cost, it felt skimpy. Keep in mind that this is only open in the summer months as a dog training and fitness activity, so there are no sleds. The dogs pulled an open 12 passenger ATV type vehicle. The little wildlife museum was pretty cool. The lunch was quite good. 👍

Excellent day tour of the Yukon - We did this tour off of our cruise but booked it separately. The minibus was easy to find, just at the end of the pier, and it was immediately evident that the tour people were friendly and engaging. Kenton, our driver for the five-minute ride into the company's office in town (where we had to fill in passport details etc - don't forget to take these on the trip as you need them for the crossing into Canada) also turned out to be our driver/guide for the day and he was brilliant throughout - amenable, funny and extremely knowledgeable. We made loads of stops at incredible points of scenery, the dog sledding was nice experience (and the puppies so cute!) and we were lucky enough to see a brown bear right at the side of the road on our way back and Kenton got us close enough, whilst of course remaining safe inside the bus, to get some great pics - a definite highlight of the day and of our whole time in Alaska. After our 6-hour adventure, we were dropped in town and still had loads of time to explore the charm of Skagway before getting back on the boat. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this excursion and this company.

Good tour, extraordinary guide but it is not what they sold me, I feel scammed - The tour I bought verbatim says the following: Skagway Shore Excursion: Yukon Dog Sleigh and Boat Tour It is indeed an excursion along the coast of Skagway, but beware, this is a fraud, please TripAdvisor agents, check with your tour operators what they sell I have never gotten on a boat and I have never gotten on a sleigh, instead of a sleigh They put me on a CanAm with around 8 dogs “pulling” the CanAm, nothing to do with a sled, and Boat, well, there is no boat. I felt cheated. Apart from that, the guide was very friendly and we enjoyed the ride. But nothing to do with the title of the ride you bought. I hope you can return my money
