- Sonn Tra Mountain - Embark on an enthralling expedition to observe some of the world’s most threatened primates, far from the crowded tourist spots. During a leisurely 3-hour walk along winding mountain paths and picturesque landscapes, we’ll venture into secluded areas known only to the Red-Shanked Douc Langurs, also referred to as Rare Monkeys.\n\nFrom witnessing lively young ones in the breeding season (March to July) to observing dominant males and adults, or simply enjoying the antics of these monkeys in their natural habitat, you’ll gain knowledge on distinguishing between genders, estimating their ages, and even contribute to ongoing research by aiding in the collection of observational data. Our trek will also introduce us to a variety of forest inhabitants, including birds, vibrant butterflies, diverse flora, and occasionally, mongooses.\n\nAs we navigate the trail, I’ll seize opportunities to engage with local wildlife photographers, allowing us to absorb their insights and view their stunning photographs for a deeper appreciation of the monkeys.\n\nOur adventure is not just about seeking out rare creatures; it’s also a chance to discover the breathtaking, hidden vistas of Monkey Mountain, including secluded beaches, which promise to make our excursion an array of delightful surprises.\n\nWe’ll conclude our journey at our starting point.

Red Shanked Douc Langurs are endangered primates and almost found only in Vietnam. Son Tra is where these creatures call home

Best afternoon! - When we decided to explore Monkey Mountain we didn’t keep our hopes high about spotting langurs… we would have been just happy to see common monkey and spend some time in the jungle. But we were in for a treat! We spotted both, and whole families too! It was the best! The place is stunning, quiet, cool, and with the best view. Our guides were Bao and Chris: they were lovely with us, and we always felt really safe and well taken care of (It was my 12 yo daughter’s 1st time on a motorbike too). They’re the best guides! Highly recommended!

Excellent memorable and unique experience ! - Chris was an amazing guide and shared a lot of interesting history of Da Nang. Took some amazing photos and was able to spot several Douc Langurs! The experience was very special and memorable overall.

amazing. - The guides are really nice and patient, and care much about your safety. The tour very educative on one side and really thrilling travelling along the paths within the son tra mountain, such a great experience and highly recommended

A wow experience - Wow! An afternoon worth to remember. We got to see the fishing village, some beautiful views over the mountain, we saw parachute gliders and best of all: the Red Shanked Doucs. It was the coolest monkey I’ve ever seen.

Must do trip! - Amazing trip! This was an amazing trip! Not only did we see the langurs but the guides were also very informative and very friendly. We had our two sons (7 and 10), and they also loved the tour. One of the best tours! Speciel thanks to the 4 fantastic guides Chris, Adam, Binh and Hardar!

Worth every penny!!! - Was incredible to see the Red Shanked Duoc.
It's always been a dream of mine and thank to Adam and Hai eventually we spot them.
They had a lot of knowledge and tips on where to find them and since we weren't so lucky at first they took their time and put just as much effort to find them.
Thank you guys for the unforgettable experience.

Amazing!! - What a day! :) Everything about this trip was amazing, the ride on the motirbikes, the nature, the views, the great guides and last but least all the Langur monkeys we saw! Felt so lucky to see so many!

An amazing experience - Hadar was an amazing guide. I travelled alone and felt safe and looked after at all times. He knew where to find the monkeys and made sure I had an amazing trip! I had gone without a tour guide previously hoping to spot the langurs but didn’t see anything. With Hadar I saw about 5+ families. It was truly an amazing trip and completely worth the money. Don’t hesitate, go!

You need to do this! - This was the best day of my life! There was 7 of us, including two 4 year olds, and it was an absolutely amazing, incredible experience. We saw dozens of monkeys! I’m not sure which species but it didn’t matter to any of us, we just wanted to see primates in their natural environments. You will not regret it. They went above and beyond expectations, even with making sure the kids were safe, comfortable and having a great time!
