Highlights
  • Paradise Cave - The 7km trek through Paradise Cave is a unique way to experience this spectacular cave. This tour takes you through the stunningly lit tourist section of the cave to the end of the boardwalk, where your guide will open the gate for you to step down on to the cave floor and begin your caving adventure.
Explore the spectacular cave formations in the darkness with just the light of your head torch, perhaps see the endemic eyeless cave fish, and marvel at the wonders of this huge passage that is 100m wide and 150m high in sections.
7:30 Our car and tour guide will pick up you at your hotel, then transfer you to Paradise Cave– the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke bang National Park’s core zone). Here your guide will give you safety instructions and cave equipment.

You will then be taken by golf cart (1.6km) from the main gate through the jungle, to where you will then hike an incline to the mouth of the cave; a climb that boasts spectacular views of the mountainous region around the cave.

You will then explore the first 1000m into the cave along a wooden staircase and boardwalk, you can admire hundreds of colourful stalactites and the stalagmites created over millions of years.

Following our experienced and enthusiastic guide, you will continue beyond the boardwalk construction to venture inside more than 6000m of the cave, equipped with your personal flashlight.

Overcoming the cliff path, which challenges the courage and perseverance of the explorer, you will discover and learn about the formation of stalactites systems that are colourful and rich in shape.

The first 500 meters consists of a tube-shaped cave, where it is more than 80 meters high and 120 meters at its widest point. Occasionally we will encounter tall, block-like stalactite structures, glittering in its brilliance.

Deeper inside, the stalactites and the stalagmites are increasingly diverse and unique. You will see rock formations with a variety of colors and designs, as if sculpted directly by a hand of the Creator. Life inside the cave exhibits a rich and biodiverse ecosystem which includes, but is not limited to: fish, bats, spiders and crickets. In the first 3.5 km you may encounter hundreds of bats clinging to the ceiling. Further along, there is the junction of two shallow streams where you can enjoy a cool breeze blowing from the spring. There will be a rest stop at 4000m, where you can take photos in this beautiful location and preserve this unique memory.

After the break, you will continue to kayak over streams. Passing through a small part of the stream requires crouching down in order not to touch the ceiling.

After finishing the small stream, the next journey gives you the opportunity to test your own courage to overcome the steep road and rugged land along the stream bed, where there are only narrow paths to thread through. From here, the cave looks like the labyrinth. Without a guide, it wouldn’t be difficult to find yourself lost amongst the cylindrical stalactites.

After 1 hour, we will arrive one of the more notable sections of the cave, referred to as “the Heaven Well”. According to the oriental concept; this well exemplifies the harmony between heaven and earth to proliferate from the cosmos. Being brought so close to this feat of nature is mysterious and exciting in the simplest of ways. Between the stream is smooth rocks as if shaped by the hands of artisans, with different shapes and different colours; you may feast your eyes.

After enjoying lunch beside the underground stream, you relax, take photographs and prepare for the journey back the same way.

4:30-5:15: Tour ends. You will be dropped back off at your hotel.

Truly Spectacular - Once you passed the board walk into the darkness and quite, it was an absolute experience. Many caverns, tight passes and swimming then to top it off was the light at the end of the tunnel! The timing of the tour is important as just after you arrive at the end the sun peaks through and shines a heavenly beam onto the cave floor. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience - With this guided tour you get to walk past the barriers and several kilometers into the cave until you reach a large space with a stream running through and an opening at the top. Words don’t do the beauty of this place justice. Highly recommended!

I'll do this trip again - The 1st km was not impressive. Too much artificial lighting. Too many people who do not truly appreciate nature and understand the value of what they are experiencing. The wonder started the moment you left the wooden walkway onto the cave platform, and walk for another 6km into the dark. We took the tour at the end of May. We had to wear protective helmets. The cave was huge and cool, decorated with stalactites and stalagmites of various sizes and shapes. Once we turned off all the lights and stood in absolute darkness and silence to experience the sounds inside the cave. We swam across a little stream. The water was refreshing. We did some rock climbing. Not dangerous at all, just kind of adding spices to the walk. At the end of the cave, the cave opened and let a stream of sunshine pour in. The tour guides brought lunch for us. The grilled chicken was so yummy. It was a marvelous trip. We highly recommend this tour.

Cave was good, your guides could have been better - We did Hang tien caves, 1 day cave exploration. The staff was not diligent enough to gauge my fitness level or to give me enough information on the terrain of the trekk, so that i could make conscious choice of not opting for this. By the time they reached out and gave us some information, which is 2 days before, we had planned our itenary already and could not cancel things. The tour guides were not supportive enough when i was struggling on uphill terrains, and kept saying you should have trained better, although he extended support and took my bag (which was not more than 500 gms., BTW) and made it a point to let other trekkers know that he is carrying my bag. I am not a trekker, and mostly was not fit for the this trekk, however, i have done trekks before, never i have seen guides been son irritated and demotivating
