Day trip through Sofia with Denitsa - A one-day trip of Sofia that is well worth your time and money. Tour guide Denitsa and a driver picked me up from my hotel near the city center, where we then proceeded onward to the National History Museum. Denitsa is a highly-motivated guide, who is well-versed in the region’s vast history and has the educational pedigree to support this. Denitsa gave me a sound overview of the city and region's unique influence and culture dating back to the Byzantine, Baroque and Soviet-era. She made the trip enjoyable and deserved a special thanks (even introduced me to Bulgarian cuisine). -Carl

She was very accommodating as we were a bit exhausted having flown in the day before from the States and were suffering jet lag. She went at our pace which was good till after lunch and never complained! Thanks

Later we continued the tour and many photo stops were made. Very good and informative. I was also able to tast some of the traditional Bulgarian food and wine.
