Delve into the Rila National Park, where we’ll reveal the concealed riches of early Christianity.

Nestled within the Rila Mountain range in southwestern Bulgaria lies the largest symbol of Bulgarian Christianity - Rila Monastery. Founded in the early X century by the recluse, St. Ivan Rilski, this monastery is the most frequented cultural attraction in Bulgaria. It’s a part of the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site list.

Upon reliving the ancient era, we’ll visit the ‘Medi Valley’ winery to savour the divine produce of this sacred mountain. Here, local grape varieties like ‘Rubin’ and ‘Shiroka Melnishka’ can be explored. The winery offers a breathtaking mountain panorama.

Finally, we’ll make a stop at the uniquely fascinating Boyana Church – another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Boyana Church is celebrated for its significant medieval murals, including the striking 1259 images, which were created 50 years before Giotto.
