Additional Information

Experience a unique tour of the two best preserved temples in Egypt, the Dendera and Seti I temples, both hosting their own distinctive age-old items. These temples are located in the ancient cities of Dendera and Abydos.

Abydos, one of Egypt’s oldest cities, is also part of the eighth nome in Upper Egypt. Situated 135 km from Luxor and close to the modern Egyptian towns of Al-Balyana, it’s known as Abdju in the ancient Egyptian language. Abydos is seen as one of the most significant archaeological locations in Egypt, with its sacred city home to various ancient temples.

Dendera, a small Egyptian town, lies on the west bank of the Nile, approximately 5 kilometers south of Qena, on the river’s opposite side. Roughly 60 kilometers north of Luxor, it’s home to the Dendera Temple Complex, one of the most well-preserved temple sites from ancient Upper Egypt.
