Great Way to See Capri! - This was a great excursion to see the entire island. Our tour guide, Alberto, was very engaging, knowledgeable, and fun. We visited on a rainy day with rough seas, so we weren’t able to visit the blue grotto, and the top of the chairlift was completely covered by clouds. However, the tour company did a good job considering the circumstances, which were out of their control.

I would recommend this excursion - The Blue Grotto was amazing our tour guide Luigi made sure we were the first to arrive and we avoided the long lines. His ability to navigate through the crowds was impressive.

Great experience - Giorgio was excellent! He got us to the blue grotto as early and quickly as possible so we didn’t have to wait long. He helped us efficiently do the chairlift also up to monte solaro so we didn’t have to wait long, as that line on your own gets quite long too keep in mind (chairlift tickets are extra €14 per person not included but I think the ride and the view were worth it to me). He does his best to get you time with the major places you want to see efficiently, while still being easy-going, friendly and patient, and gives you a nice narrative of his home island of capri while traveling between the locations by the company’s small buses. Our group was my husband and I, and my parents. My dad doesn’t do well with lots of walking at this point and this tour was good for all physical levels. He could go around by bus with us and we could get out and walk as much or as little as each of us wanted. The tour starts with a large ferry from sorrento 8 am (or there is one from Naples, we were in sorrento). Arrive capri, immediately by small private company bus to blue grotto if it is open. Sooner is better for weather and for crowds. If not open, they said they would do a boat tour around the island. Second bus to Anacapri for about 1.5-2 hours depending how long the grotto stop was then on the bus down to capri town for about the same amount of time ~1.5 hours. It seems like that doesn’t add up to the 8 hours but keep in mind the ferry ride over and then that the roads on the island are narrow. So regardless of how you are getting around, travel is going to take time, just be aware when you are planning your day. It’s part of the experience! It felt like a lot to fit into a day but I think it would have been like that no matter with this tour or another or by ourselves. By ourselves I think would have been worse in fact. If you don’t know the island, have never been and are visiting for a day like we did, I think something like this is probably the best way to fit it all in.

A Piece of Paradise - Awesome…We had a wonderful guide ..Luigi..who referred to us as “family” . We took the first tour available ( which I would recommend ) meeting at the Hotel Faro down by the port in Sorrento. We chose that meeting place as Naples location was further away and our hotel was in Sorrento. We were fortunate to get to the Blue Grotto as weather conditions need to be just right. Also recommend the Chair Lift in AnaCapri

Visint Capri - We took the lift up the mountain. The views were amazing. Did not see the Blue Grotto but thought the boat ride was a good substitute.

Good day even in dodgy weather - The weather wasn't the best so we were a little sceptical of how the day would go. The ferry was a bit choppy but we got there with no problems. Serena told us that the blue grotto was closed , which wasn't a suprise given the weather. She also gave us a choice to do the boat trip round the island straight away or at the end. We opted for the end of the day. We had a shuttle bus from the port to Capri then had free time there which was nice but we preferred the time we had in Anacapri. It felt more relaxed for wandering around. Unfortunately it also started to rain, but it was only water. The boat trip was bouncy but not too bad. Someone has a good sense if humour as they played the titanic theme tune. Thankfully it had stopped raining so we got some very nice photos. Overall a really nice day and Serena did a great job rounding everyone up and providing information. My only issue was the amount of waiting around possibly as all tour groups were changing itineraries due to the weather.
