Amazing time - The only bad thing I got from this experience was sunburn. The staff was amazing ,entertaining and beyond hepful and entertaining. Tne rum punch was amazing and Make sure ya keep applying sunscreen because the sun hit way different down here.

Catamaran at other level - Excellent experience. Music. Food, drink under sun. Snorkeling in 2 reef, beautiful, you can do it with Family, friends or colleagues!

Memorable Top Notch Excursion - Been on vacation here a week and have experienced every single excursion there is here in the DR….but this by far was the top. From the catamaran to the food and beverages.. The crew, entertainment and paparazzi was top notch a FIVE STAR excursion. Made our vacation one of the most memorable moments of our lives.

Great Day! - Safety, enthusiasm, cleanliness and pure fun! Lunch was better than expected, thoroughly enjoyed the sailing trip after snorkeling where there were lots of fish. Easy on and off the boat, good equipment and attentive staff. Highly recommend!

Fun day trip! - My daughter and I went on a full day excursion snorkeling with Tip Top Catamaran and had a fabulous time! Ailan was a great host, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. The lunch was decent "picnic" fare, the snorkeling was beautiful and the staff helpful to snorkeling newbies! Highly recommended if you want a day trip.

Overall good experience - Myself and 3 friends did the Tip Top catamaran yesterday. Overall it was a nice experience! The boat was nice, food was really good (cold meats, the best rice ever, coleslaw, tuna pasta, chicken nuggets, bread), music was good, the staff were great! The bus ride was about 30 minutes from the last pick up to Sosua beach. Once arrived, we had about 5 groups of people that loaded into a small boat to be taken to the catamaran. This took a fair amount of time but it wasn’t horrible. The first snorkel spot was maybe a 5 minute boat ride. Lots of fish and coral. The next spot was about a 1 minute boat ride. Same fish, some coral here as well. The snorkelling wasn’t fascinating but it was a nice way to spend some time in the water. After snorkelling was done, they opened the bar and we started cruising. They started lunch shortly after. We cruised for about 2 hours. The staff offered some fun entertainment near the end of the ride. Was it the best catamaran experience I’ve had? No. But was it worth it? Sure. We also had a cloudy day and some rain but I still enjoyed myself.

More of a sailing cruise than snorkeling - The staff was top notch. Super accommodating, very friendly, entertaining and professional. Be aware you do start out with a small boat to board the catamaran for safety in active waves. You snorkel with other groups and in my experience it did seem rather crowded on our boat. By the time we got out there as the 4th shuttle boat some were disappointed the nets were taken. You do the 2 snorkel sites right away then a 3 hour sailing trip w/ free drinks after that. It was very rough seas. Do not recommend if you are sensitive or first time. We had to have a few shuttled off from sickness at first. But Alex and Staff took very good care of them during and arranged safe transportation all the way to their hotel. Very entertaining dancing and lunch was surprisingly abundant and delicious!

Fun, but way overcrowded! - This was a good snorkeling trip, fun, good food, plenty of booze, and a fun and helpful crew, but the boat was way overcrowded – the description of the tour says 30 people and I counted at least 62 people on the trip that I went on. We were on one of the first boats taking people from the meeting point to the catamaran, so got a seat at one of the tables, but many people did not have seats or were forced to stay in the sun the whole time. if there had actually been no more than 30 people on this tour, I would have rated it a 5.

Way overbooked - 1hr bus ride to Sousa, 1st stop snorkel the water about 20ft deep, the 'coral reef' was 15 wide and rpft long, quite a few fish. Second snorkel stop water 65ft, never saw a reef. The boat was ok, but was way over booked, your website says max 30, 78 passengers were on boat! Was this excursion missrepresented by Viator or tour operator? in either case something needs to be be done.

Worst operator for live aboard - While this is not Tip Top II (Galapagos) this is the same owner/operator. Tip Top II is currently unable to accept reviews, so this is my only recourse. Do Not Book with this operator!!! They basically stole my 20k and did not provide the trip. Long story, but worth the read. I purchased this trip for my father and I as a bucket list trip for him. We were so excited to go, had our bags packed, vaccines up to date, the works. We got notification the week of our departure that the trip was cancelled due to COVID. This was obviously not in my control. No refund was offered. When I pushed to have my fully paid for trip refunded, I was told I had to rebook or lose 70% of the trip. What? Really? Now here is the issue. Unwilling to lose 70% of my trip, we tried rebooking. COVID went on much longer than the world expected and still no refund was offered. Both my dad and I are pharmacists and actually own our own independent pharmacy. It took over a year to plan and organize our original trip and have licensed professionals to be able to cover our pharmacy for the time we would be away. (This was no small feat.) As you may or may not know, pharmacies administered about 70% of COVID vaccines. I live in a community of approximately 3,500, but administered approximately 25k vaccines. We were the first in our state to have the vaccine and people traveled from all over the state to us. You can fact check it, we were recognized by NYS with an Empire Award and a visit from our Governor. Not bragging, just setting the stage that we truly are our communities health care hub. Fast forward. A lot, I mean A LOT has changed. COVID has made it nearly impossible for me to hire pharmacists to be able to reschedule this trip. It took a year the first time. This operator has now decided that too much time has passed, and will still not refund the trip. They also will not let me reschedule for a date that I get to choose. Now mind you, I paid for an upper room with a balcony and the add ons I could as this was a one in a lifetime experience for my dad and I. As an essential healthcare worker, I am so disappointed and dismayed. For the past 3 years I have worked 7 days a week to help my community. The booking company and this operator are well aware of my situation, and sadly do not care. So now, I am out 20K for the trip of a lifetime that never happened. Buyer beware. I am heartbroken, saddened and disappointed that this is how this is being handled.
