  • Stellenbosch - The second oldest town in South Africa, dating back to 1679 when an island in the Eerste River was named Stellenbosch by then-Governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel. It is the most famous wine-producing region in South Africa. The town, in the Western Cape’s Coastal Region, is steeped in history and is home to the country’s best-known wine estates. It is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Western Cape. The region has more than 200 wine and grape producers within the boundaries of the Stellenbosch wine of origin classification. It is a major player in the international wine industry and is home to South Africa’s best-known wine estates. The famous wine town is internationally recognized as the birthplace of the Pinotage variety, invented at the University of Stellenbosch in 1925. It has the most expensive countryside property markets in the country. Wine tasting at Cavalli or Peter Falke.

Incredible tour experience! - Roland was absolutely fantastic! His historical knowledge of the region and the sites we visited were amazing. It was like traveling around the area with a relative or an old friend. I highly recommend his guide services.
