Don is a gift to his people and now to those of us blessed to spend time with him! - This experience was exceptionally special. Don is the only way to tour the back country of Monument Valley, especially if you love history, are a John Wayne fan, interested in Navajo/Native preservation, or just love good sight seeing! Don is a gift to his people and now to those of us blessed to spend time with him! My husband and I will never forget our time with him, listening and learning, and experiencing the valley through his eyes (and life experiences)! So much knowledge and an awesome photographer too! He may be over 80 but this man still has so much life and energy to spread in the world. Thank you Don for the couple of hours you taught us about the Diné people and sharing your grandpa’s and mother’s legacy (now yours)! Just do it - spend time with this man - you will not regret it!

Do not miss this tour - Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, I chose this trip, and we were not disappointed. Don showed us amazing photo spots like a professional photographer and told us a lot about the history of the petroglyphs and their native origins. My son was in awe. He took us to a female hogan where an older woman showed us spinning wool and described the local resources and plants used throughout history. He took us to a cave where a guy played a beautiful flute. A private tour is worth every penny. Don is a national treasure at the intersection of two cultures.

Best there is! - Don is a remarkable guide and an equally remarkable individual. My wife and I spent the afternoon with him wandering the back country, hiking a bit, getting to know him and his ancestors, and simply being present in one of the most peaceful, powerful, and beautiful parts of the 4 corners area. Don brought both the natural landscape and the Navaho culture to life in both story and presentation in a truly unique way. To say we loved our time would be an understatement. God bless you Don, and thanks for sharing so much of your spirit with us. neezna doo shadi aahigii

I'm sure this would have... - I'm sure this would have been an amazing adventure unfortunately viator didn't coomunicate our reservation to the tour company so we never got to go, we contacted the tour company who did absolutely everything they could to make up for the mishap. So book this tour but book it directly with the company. I've already communicated this with Viator and today I got another request to rate this experience ….even though part of my communication was to notify them the tour never happened,

Absolutely Fantastic guide - Don was our guide and gave us an incredible tour of monument Valley as well as providing absolutely fascinating insight into the Navajo culture. His stories are so interesting that the landscape became secondary. It was a true honor to be able to spend time with him. The scheduling department seems to have a few problems so beware. Luckily, Don was our guide and that is why I am giving this tour company a rating of five.

The best tour ever!! - We booked a private tour with Don Mose as our guide. He was fabulous. A former educator and Navajo leader, he was a wealth of knowledge and great stories. Had tips and places for photo taking and was a very warmhearted man. HIGHLY recommend.

A beautiful, fascinating and ultimately moving tour with a guide grounded deep in his culture - A beautiful morning spent with Don Mose, driving through Monument Valley, understanding this place through his eyes, tracing back his knowledge through the understanding of his grandfather who in turn held the knowledge and wisdom of his grandparents. Don Mose has amazing stories to tell about the origin of the Navajo people. He is a special person who has done much for the language of the Dine and been an important teacher and counselor to young people. He's travelled far and wide helping people to reacquaint themselves with their native tongue. I did a private tour and the one on one time was really precious and the highlight of my one month road trip. The three or so hours flew by. Highly highly recommend. Thank you so much Don Mose for sharing your time and energy with me, and for a true connection. I was tearful by the end, in gratitude and recognition.

Great tour or Monument Valley - My wife and I have been to 61 National Parks and all 50 states and have been on many tours but this was by far the best tour we have been on. Don Mose is not only a great tour guide but he is also an educator of the Navajo culture and a wonderful story teller. We saw and learned more about this area and how it was formed than we had hoped for. The extra money to pay for a private tour is well worth it especially if you have the privilege and honor of having Don Mose as your guide. If I could rate it as a 10 star I would.

Horrible - The guide never showed up. Viator was close to useless over the telephone. As a result our trip to Monument Valley was ruined. I will never use Viator again
