Orlando Towers - These two cooling towers, built in 1951 to supply electricity to Johannesburg, are now a prominent landmark in Soweto. They are also used for bungee jumping from a platform between the towers.

Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct - This site has imprisoned numerous world-renowned figures such as Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Joe Slovo, Albertina Sisulu, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and Fatima Meer. It also confined tens of thousands of ordinary people over its 100-year history, including men and women of all races, creeds, ages, and political beliefs, as well as children. Constitution Hill is a living museum that narrates South Africa’s journey to democracy. The site, a former prison and military fort, reflects the country’s turbulent past and now houses the Constitutional Court, which upholds the rights of all citizens.
