Excellent half day tour - What can I say... the tour was brilliant. The coach was nice and clean, the guide had so much information and the driver was excellent. The tour took in the Timanfaya Park, doing the usual 3 demonstrations at Fire mountain... and then on to the world stunning park. The park is soooo beautiful. Everyone needs to see it at least once. After the park it was a short trip to the wine making region of La Geria... it's always fascinating to see the wine making areas. Then it was a quick visit to El Golfo. It was quite windy at the time and the green lagoon didn't live up to its name lol.. it wasn't sunny enough but it was nice to see. Then the tour visited the salt flats of Janubio. The plant has a micro brewery... try the beer and the stout - very nice.

A good way to see the national park but a bit poorly organised - This tour was not quite what I was expecting when I booked it. The tour company was incredibly helpful when I booked the tour. I booked 4 tickets and wanted to add 2 more at a later date. They were very responsive and arranged for us all to go on the same tour, and even arranged a more convenient pick up location for us than the ones that were on the website list. We (adult family members and friends in a group of 6) spent an hour at the salt flats where we were told a lot of 'filler information' and our time felt a little bit dragged out there. We then spent only about 30 minutes at the volcano where we could see some experiments and take in the landscapes - we would have preferred more time here than at the salt flats as it was far more interesting. The drive through the national park was beautiful and the scenary was gorgeous. However, it was ruined somewhat by an awful soundtrack / CD that was played over the bus speakers as we drove. The soundtrack consisted of interesting/ informative speeches about the locations we drove past, but these were interspersed with random clanking piano sounds and crashes, as though a toddler was just being allowed to jarringly hit a piano and we were being forced to listen. It was a very bizarre thing to listen to as we drove through the beautiful national park. Additionally when we got to the wine tasting, the winery were not prepared for us and had not been informed we were coming. We were begrudgingly allowed one small glass each of one very dry white wine after waiting around for approximately half an hour. The tour company were extremely helpful, the tour guide and driver were friendly, informative, and spoke excellent English, but the tour itself seemed a bit poorly organised and poorly timed for each activity. The highlight was driving through the national park and seeing the beautiful geography, but all of my group felt like the rest of the tour could have been skipped.

5 Scots had a very unhappy day - The bus was 15 minutes late. The card machine on the bus to pay was not working. I tried another 2 cards belonging to my husband but again no card worked. Other passengers all had to pay cash for the same reason. Myself and another passenger were taken into an office to pay. Again the card machine did not work (I was to pay for the 5 people in my party at this point). We had to withdraw cash from a cash machine. The exchange rate was low so the transaction to pay for the trip cot me an extra 30 euros. All this took time so we were late getting to our first stop. As the trip continued, we were given less time each stop. At the venue for lunch we had been told when we booked that the 3 course lunch was optional. No….. there was no alternative available. Our guide directed us to a small pub where we did get some sandwiches but again time had been cut short so it was a rush back to the bus. All in all a very disappointing day trip.
