Additional Information
Spain is renowned for the superior quality of its wines, with the pinnacle of these originating from the region that lends its name to the La Rioja appellation, which is a short distance from San Sebastian. Experience a tour of two wineries (bodegas), unwind with a leisurely stroll amidst the vineyards and gain insights into the wine-production process from the picking of grapes to the ageing. The tour concludes with a wine tasting at each winery, where you can sample some of the finest Rioja wines. Two distinct wineries will be covered to understand the distinguishing features between the two.
The tour also incorporates a visit to an enchanting medieval town, Laguardia.

Fantastic day! - Javier was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome straight away.
He explained the plan for the day and off we set. Javier was extremely knowledgeable about all things Spain as well as the wines we tasted, an encyclopedia of knowledge.
He went out of his way to ensure we had the best stay in San Sebastián by recommending places to visit and eat, in and outside of the city, beyond the day itself. Javier’s English was also excellent.
Javier really made the day, especially with his choice for lunch too - we felt extremely well looked after and highly recommend him - thank you Javier! :-)

Excellent Tour - Victor our guide was excellent, it was a great day. From the two wineries and lunch, very well paced. Tour well organised would highly recommend.

Fun times on a super hot day in northern Spain❤️ - Such a fun trip! Started the day with our tour guide Alby who promptly picked us up at 745 and we were off in a very comfortable van which was important as the day was over 100F! The first winery we were able to go to was Bodegas Riojanas. WOW!!! Immaculate facility, super fun and polished tour, excellent guide. We loved it and the wines were spectacular. Second winery was Ostentu and we had a tasting - loved it as well and we enjoyed our group so much we had to be quieted down by our guide! :) in a good way. We bought wines at both and I would’ve taken cases home if I had the room. So delicious. Ended the day at a lovely 12th century (or older) village with delicious food and more wine. Of course. Alby was lovely and friendly and we would 100% recommend this tour to friends. Hope to be back to San Sebastián again! 🇪🇸❤️

Fantastic, memorable experience! - We’ve always loved Rioja, so we were very much looking forward to visiting some wineries while we were in Basque country. We’re so glad we found this tour because it was amazing! Our guide Alby brought us to two amazing wineries where we got to taste some amazing wine and see how the wine is produced. Afterwards we had a fantastic lunch in a beautiful medieval village surrounded by picturesque landscapes. Alby was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible- a great guide. Even the ride to and from the wine region was breathtaking! Great day, great company, 100% recommend. Thanks Alby!

A successful day trip, well worth its price! - So smooth with pick up at the hotel, quiet and nice drive to the vineyards. Nice to see two completely different wine growers, with such professional hosts who shared their knowledge! The lunch stop on the way home was successful with our driver Alby who showed us around the city of Laguardia.

Best last minute decision - I was traveling alone and didn’t feel comfortable figuring out logistics to go to Rioja on my own (especially while drinking) I booked the tour the day before and turned out to be a great decision.
Alby was punctual, professional, extremely nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. The drive although long seemed short as we talked with other people in the tour. We visited two wineries - one a full tour, the other a wine tasting- and had lunch at La Guardia. Overall, great experience. Would recommend to others.

Great day in Rioja - Wonderful day in Rioja with our excellent host Begonia. Visited two family run wineries, leant loads, tasted some amazing wines, had some great food and enjoyed the beautiful Rioja countryside. A great day and a brilliant host.

A fantastic day with Alby! - We had an excellent all day experience with Alby. We toured two winerys/Bodega. Ara was so knowledgeable and friendly at the first stop. Second stop was equally interesting and fun. The final stop was lunch in a beautiful medieval town.Alby was a prefect host for the entire experience !

Larry from Texas - The tour was wonderful with a good guide and a delicious meal with great Rioja wine . The second winery Tritium made the trip with Ari our guide very special and rememberable.

Ask for Felix, el chofer formidable( the formitable driver). I swear, he must have been an F-1 driver) - This is a great tour best taken from Bilbao. Why? Because it is a two-hour F-1 type drive (ask for Felix) each way from San Sebastian. Two vinyards with ancient histories and great red wines.
