Kandy - Upon arrival at Bandaranayke International Airport, our representatives will warmly welcome our clients. En route to Kandy, a major city in Sri Lanka’s Central Province, known as the last capital of the ancient kings’ era. Nestled amidst hills in the Kandy plateau, the area is rich with tropical plantations, primarily tea. Kandy serves as both an administrative and religious hub and is the capital of the Central Province. It is home to The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most revered Buddhist worship sites, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Located within the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, it houses the Buddha’s tooth relic.

KANDY CITY TOUR
Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue - Situated on a hill just 2 km from the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue, built in 1972, stands at 88 feet and is one of Sri Lanka’s largest Buddha statues. The hill offers panoramic views of Kandy city, the nearby mountain range, and the Bogambara prison. A Buddhist temple is also located alongside the statue.
Kandy View Point - Kandy City View Point offers a picturesque view of Kandy city, overlooking Kandy Lake with the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the background. Ideal for sunrise or sunset visits, it provides a stunning panoramic view of the city surrounded by mountains. Located in Rajapihilla Mawatha, it is also known as Arthur’s Seat and is the highest point in Kandy at 550 meters above sea level.
Royal Botanical Gardens - Located about 5.5 km west of Kandy in the Central Province, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya attracted 1.2 million local and 400,000 foreign visitors in 2016. It is renowned for its orchid collection and is situated near the Mahaweli River.
Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - In the evening, enjoy the Kandy Lake Club Cultural Dance Show, a vibrant display of Sri Lankan arts, dance, and cultural heritage. Established in 1982, it brings together various Sri Lankan dance forms and has become a major tourist attraction, continuously performing for the past 35 years.

Sri Muthumariamman Temple - After breakfast, we will depart for Sigiriya, visiting the Hindu Temple, Matale Aluvihare, and Dambulla Cave Temple along the way. The Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility.
