Yala National Park is a vast expanse of forest, grassland, and lagoons along the Indian Ocean in southeastern Sri Lanka. It hosts wildlife including leopards, elephants, and crocodiles, along with numerous bird species. Further inland, the ancient Buddhist monastery Sithulpawwa can be found.
