A day immersed in a wonderful park! - Wonderful day. We saw a lot of animals and the scenery and nature are beautiful. Driver very kind and very prepared both to Guide and knowledge of the park. Great races in search of the leopard, difficult to find.

Recommendation with eyes closed - Great experience with Janaka Safari and Sudu our guide. Super observer, they know where animals go and where to be to observe them. After 23 years in the park, he knows it better than anyone. A safari with Sudu is the certainty of seeing leopards and being well positioned even if there is a lot of car. I highly recommend Janaka safari and Sudu

Fantastic safari - We had a great experience in Yala National Park thanks in part to our guide, Sudu. He has 23 years of experience and it shows in his explanation and his vision of the park. He also has a lot of love for nature and animals. He also knows how to find the spots so that you do not drive with 100 jeeps in a row.

Best experience ever ! - This was the best experience that we had in our trip in Sri Lanka !! Best company to do a safari. We did 2 tours, evening safari and all day safari both days with our driver Damith (but call him Lucas) !!! He was the best! He made our experience unique. Never approached the animals, didn’t do queues to see animals… everything was very natural. We saw 5 leopards!! 🐆 He has 17 years experience and knew everything about animals.. you can ask him whatever you want 😊 Thanks very much for that. All the best team! David and Alba 🇨🇴 🇪🇸

Amazing Trip with brilliant guide - We both had an amazing full-day safari. Our excellent guide, Ish, had probably the best eye of the park. We saw a leopard within an hour of being in the park. In addition, we were the first vehicle with a leopard just a few hours later, given us an amazing opportunity with the majestic animal. We left the park after watching a family of 4 elephants joyously playing at a waterhole. Lunch was tasty and plenty of it. Plenty of cool water to drink as well. What a day! Amazing guide!

Breathtaking Safari Experience - We had a fantastic safari in Yala and were lucky enough to see a wide variety of wildlife; leopards, elephants, deer, buffalo, hogs, crocodiles and many species of birds. We took the full-day safari and are very glad we did so. Our driver, IG, collected us from our accommodation at 4.30am and drove to Yala National Park. The early start enabled us to be very near the start of the park entry queue (the park opens at 6am). We stopped for a decent breakfast at around 8am after first looking for leopards (no luck early on) and then continued driving around to various locations seeing numerous buffalo and birds. Then, at around 11am, we got lucky and were able to catch a glimpse of a leopard, camouflaged in the bush. IG had binoculars that we used and directed us where to look. He was very informative about the various animals we saw and their behaviours. The park is closed between noon and 2pm (and, in any case, as this is the hottest part of the day, we needed a good break). We, and the other jeeps, all stopped for lunch by the beach. A lovely lunch was provided and we took the opportunity for a rest. Refreshed and revived, we restarted our safari and the afternoon really surpassed our hopes for the day. Spending the afternoon driving between the various watering holes in the park, IG and the other drivers were in frequent communication about possible animal sightings (especially leopards and elephants) and we were lucky enough to spend time very close by to elephants (one literally walked out on to the road in front of us), monkeys, eagles and falcons, and, finally, right at the end of the day, we saw a young leopard quietly drinking at a watering hole. All the animals were magnificent creatures and having the privilege of viewing them close up and in a natural habitat was a breathtaking experience. We all appreciated how fortunate we were to see these creatures and our massive thanks to IG for the effort and knowledge he put into the day to give us the best opportunities of finding and seeing all the animals. Huge thanks to IG and Janaka Tours for a very well organised tour. It's a long day with an early start and you'll need to put up with some dust and bumpy roads (you're on safari so what do you expect!) but I think that's a very reasonable trade-off for seeing such diverse wildlife. Recommend Janaka Safari Jeep Tours.

Great guide but not sufficient with their time arrangement - Our driver Sudu was very kind and very keen to find a leopard for us. He is well experienced and well known of this safari. He also answered our questions many times. He was great. One point, this company changed the meeting time suddenly from 5AM to 4:25AM on that day, and they blamed us like ‘why so late, we have to change plan now’.. They said they had sent a message in advance but we hadn’t received any messages from them. Sudu is great and highly recommended but you should be careful of the communication with them about a meeting time. Thanks for a great guide Sudu. We appreciate you a lot.

Interesting experience! - Overall, it was a nice experience with many encounters with animals! I.G. was a very good driver, he was really helpful and he gave us a lot of information about the national park and the animals. We managed to see many elephants, leopards, and so many more! Even if it's a little bit tiring, we can totally recommend it as it's a whole new experience!
