Additional Information

We kick off this journey with a stop at the serene hamlet of Falkland. The village is not only recognized for its stunning palace, with roots reaching back to the 11th century, but also for its role as one of the filming set locations for the popular television show ‘Outlander’. The idyllic residences and picturesque streets will reveal why it was an ideal setting for this historical drama.

Following that, our journey takes us to St Andrews, a charming and historic town. As the birthplace of golf and housing the third oldest university in the Anglophone world—originating from the 1400s—, St Andrews is steeped in unique antiquity. On this expedition, you’ll have the opportunity to uncover the town’s grandeur and learn unknown facts about golf as we stroll past the first tee and halt at the renowned swilcan bridge for a photo break.

Our tour culminates with a visit to the Kingsbarns distillery, where we’ll delve into the mysteries of Scotland’s emblematic beverage. To sum up, it’s an authentically Scottish adventure.

Fabulous day trip!! Strongly recommend! - Our day was wonderful. Our driver was very welcoming and informative. He was very flexible and let us help plan our time. The van was comfortable and well stocked with water and loads of Scottish treats. It was the same price for 2 or 6. He made some fun detours on our way to St Andrews. All in all a perfect day.

12/10 - you will not be disappointed!!! - Dave is an awesome human and tour guide. I cannot recommend his tour enough. The car is spotless, comfortable and well prepared. Dave is knowledgeable and super flexible with the agenda. And we felt very welcomed and taken care of the entire time. Also Dave drives well, and we have a guy in our group who gets car sick easily… so that’s another plus! Thank you for a wonderful day Dave!!

David is the BEST tour guide and made sure to throw in extra treats! - I can't say enough good things about David! We actually did 2 different tours with him since our cruise had 2 stops in Scotland. He customized the tours so we could get to Stirling Castle, see the countryside and of course, stop at a golf course on the first tour. The second tour was seeing more golf courses, a stop at the whiskey distillery and he then made a special stop so I could pick up some Scottish treats for my kids. David was an excellent host, he had coffee and snack on both tours and was very accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend Designer Tour if you are visiting Scotland.
