Amazing tour - Great experience. Tour guide was engaging. City was beautiful! I was fine doing the half day option as we had already done the sugar loaf as a family. The tour van took us back to the hotel without hesitation while the other half of the group ate lunch

Great day in Rio - Very well organize tour, perfect timing for the attractions except that it shouldn’t stop in the soccer stadium as we could not even go inside. The tour guy was very friendly and knowledgeable

Good sights with okay tour guide - The tour was good. We saw a lot of the rio attractions. Sugarloaf was beautiful. Our tour guide was not very friendly or engaging but we still had a good time.

Excellent tour but lunch option was a bit of tourist trap - Ricardo was an excellent guide and knew the city inside out. Due to sheer number of places we went, we didn't get to spent a lot of time (rightfully so) on each of them except over at the Christ Redeemer and the sugar loaf mountain. Though I hope we spend a bit more time at the Lapas step as it was very busy. I don't really recommend doing the lunch option. The restaurant was a bit of a tourist trap. You'll have a much better experience at a nearby place called Forgo De Chau. But it is not a bad place if this is the only chance you can experience a Brazilian steakhouse.

Unenthusiastic guide/uninformative tour - Very nice guide but had very limited information. It was like a 3 sentence explanation of what the site was and we were let go to ‘take photos’ for 10-15 minutes or so. We did ask questions to possibly get him to talk or explain more but there was not to much more information there. We would have loved to hear about the rich history of Brazil and how it came to be! It just seemed like the guide was not very enthusiastic about his job! Food was meh but beware the drinks if you choose alcohol are very strong.

fair experience - The pickup time was changed the night before. The tour guide's Spanish was very difficult to understand (it was a mix of Portugues and Spanish); the tour guide was so rushed that she advised not to stop for pictures at certain spots; thus, this would not be an appropriate pace for 65 year olds and up, due to the quick pace. The bbq restaurant was fair (certainly have had better buffet options in Rio in the past). During the sugarloaf tour, we had to wait about 20 extra minutes because our wristbands were not working to give us access to enter. Not the best tour but also not the worst. Probably ok for the average person with less selective tastes or needs.

Could’ve been better - The local tour company did not cancel even after knowing that nothing was visible that day due to heavy rain and fog. Tour stopped without going to Sugarloaf mountain. They asked us request partial refund through Viator which took over a month to get.

Wasted day - Besides not having any view (poor weather is not anyone’s fault) we were not told enough about the history of the city. In fact the tour guide spent most of the trip talking to the driver. We were told that as we weren’t doing lunch that we would have to catch an Uber back to our hotel or wait while the others did. We waited and after 3 hours I needed to use a toilet and because we didn’t want the lunch I was not allowed to use the toilet at the lunch venue!! We finally were returned to our hotel and again were not given any narrative about the city, the tour guide again spent the trip talking to the driver. An incredible opportunity lost. We saw fog, learned very little about the city and ended up walking around ourselves for 3 hours. I would definitely not recommend anyone pay 85US for this wasted day.
