The pulpit is a must if you travel to Stavanger - Fantastically pleasant hike to Preikestolen. We had all kinds of weather on the tour (sun, rain, hail) but it didn't matter because it was really a great tour with a super nice guide (Theodor).

Amazing hike to incredible views of the fjord! - We had an 8 hour port stop in Stavanger on a cruise and very much wanted to hike to Pulpit Rock. The cruise did not offer an excursion due to our short time in port so we booked a tour with Get Guided Norway. This ended up being our best day of the cruise. Alexander picked us up at the port and drove us to the trailhead in 45 min. During the drive he engaged us in conversation and gave us a history of Stavanger. Once we arrived at the trailhead we began a steady climb of 90 min. At the top, we were rewarded with the most breathtaking views of our entire 8 day journey. The fjord was amazing from 2000 feet above. We took photos from every possible angle and relaxed about 30 min before our descent. Alexander dropped us off at the main shopping area next to the port about 6 hours after picking us up. I must admit I was nervous about completing the hike in time but Alexander assured us of the timing. He was very professional and friendly during our entire time together and it was a genuine pleasure getting to know him. I highly recommend an excursion with this local company.

Superb and safe experience with great guide! Fine weather! - Teodor, our young norwegian guide was very informative, friendly and inclusive, he made sure everyone was doing well as we were hiking up and down this beautiful site! Our small group of 6 « tourists » was enchanted. Being co-owner of his company, Teodor has made sure that all insurance and security policies have been strictly followed. Not being so young anymore, I used my walking poles which help the strain on the knees. Teodor had them available for those who wanted some! Make sure you bring are warmer jacket for the summit…. A bonus: driving though the longest (14,4 km) and deepest sea tunnel was special! Being picked directly at my hotel was a plus! So great hike but I also learnt more about Norway and this special site!

Hike Preikestolen with Get Guided Norway! - We had such a rewarding experience hiking with guide, Teo! The hike was difficult for me but Teo was there to support, share his water, go slower, take breaks etc. Without his support, I would have never finished this hike! The views up top are UNREAL and it is such an accomplishment to make it to the top. Teo is very knowledgeable, friendly and motivating. We greatly enjoyed his company. We rented hiking boots and they were so comfortable. Teo had a variety of sizes of shoes in addition to jackets and poles in case you need it. I couldn't recommend a better guide and company to tackle this hike!

Good - The climb to pulpit rock was hard but a gift to myself. Although the guide was there but he did not explain anything about geology or anything more. He just accompanied up and down, would have been nice to hear some more about the pulpit rock history and more about geology in general
