Perfect way to experience the food culture of Sweden - The tour was outstanding. Cotton was informative about Swedish food history especially about wild game and cheeses which we tasted. We had a delightful array of tastings including Swedish meatballs and fish soup. And finished our tour with Fika. We would highly recommend this tour.

Lots of WALKING and eating - This food tour was a lot of fun. Most food was pretty tame, but the bear jerky and moose jerky really threw me off. And the deer heart…whoa. Several guests refused to eat it. lol. At the end was a licorice challenge. Loved!!

More than food - The Stockholm food tour was a great way to learn about Sweden’s food and culture. Interesting, fun and delicious. We met people traveling to Stockholm from all over - would highly recommend. Our guide Valentina was excellent!

variety of tastings - Had a great time on the tour. Fair amount of walking so be prepared. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was good to taste a variety of foods that I otherwise would not have known or wanted to try, especially salted licorice. All in all a good way to experience Stockholm.

Food, Food Halls, and Fun - Our guide was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and listen to . Enjoyed all the food and learned a little bit about Stockholm which was a great plus. The food halls are a neat concept.

Fun way to see the city and taste local delicacies - Fun way to explore the city and sample local cuisine. We stopped at a delicious high end candy shop and the guide shared recommendations for candies we could find at the market too. They accommodated our being vegetarian but we did miss out on the bear, reindeer and other meat delicacies with no substitute offered. For the meatballs we were given a beet tartare that the adults liked but kids would have preferred a vegetarian meatball.

Good Tour of Stockholm - Tour was good. It seemed we spent a bit too much time at a place or two, but we did cover a wide range of food.

Guide was a complete disappointment - Guide, named Cotton, showed up with no time to spare as the tour participants wondered if we were in the right place. Without explanation on what was going to transpire, he just walked away without looking back. Wondering what to do, the group aimlessly followed him. The tour included stops at 4 locations. Location 1 included 3 stops in a food hall (stop 1: 3 tiny pieces of cheese, stop 2: 3 small pieces of smoked meat, stop 3: 2 Swedish meatballs and a tablespoon of mashed potatoes). We then walked 20 or minutes to our next location. On the way, it was clear the guide was just making up stories/facts. And made it clear he had no interest in the Monarchy - in fact, he did not know the name of the king! Numerous times tour participants would ask the guide what is the significance of a statue or other sites. The guide had no clue. So much for the history part of the tour. The second location was a candy store where we sample mostly licorice. For the most part, they were inedible. The third location was at a fish place that included a good sample of Swedish seafood. Very little information was provided on what we were eating and why. The last stop was at a coffee house for coffee and a pastry. The pastry was fine, but the room we were in was like a sauna. Perhaps the most disturbing part of the tour was at the end when the tour guide said “I accept tips in any currency.” Tips for what? For being the most ignorant tour guide I have ever experienced. Perhaps with a different tour guide this would have been a worthwhile use of our time and money. Just note, you have been warned.
