Stockholm Wildlife Safari: Exploring Sweden's Majestic Animals in their Natural Habitat

Embark on a Stockholm Wildlife Safari and witness Sweden’s majestic animals in their natural habitat. Experience the thrill of spotting iconic wildlife while immersing yourself in Swedish culture.

Duration: 4 hours
Cancellation: 1 day learn more
Highlights
  • Tyresta Nationalpark - We will track animals at the surroundings of Stockholm’s national forest.

Starting from our office at 18.00 and out until 22.00, earlier in winter time. We will have plenty of time to get the chance to see Swedish iconic wildlife, make a fire and enjoy a nice dinner cooked on wooden fire.

We will start by minivan through an area where we can see if any animal is awaiting for us. We’ll continue walking in the forest, around a lake where we know that there’s a great animal activity.

During the tour we will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Bring your questions along. We will have a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again.

Very nice excursion! - We enjoyed the explanatory hike with Luka. It is a passionate who gave us a lot of explanations about wildlife (animals, plants, fruits etc.). We had the chance to see several animals during the excursion: deer, hare, and even an elk!!! We recommend without hesitation

A beautiful and peaceful experience in nature! - My wife, nine-year-old son, and I had a fantastic experience on our wildlife safari in Tyresta National Park. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the area’s flora and fauna and kept us engaged from start to finish. We highly recommend this experience for anyone interested in connecting with Sweden’s natural beauty.

A great tour with amazing guides. - I went on the tour with Ellie and Daniel, and I was blown away by how knowledgeable and entertaining the guides were. Daniel was exceptionally well versed in his knowledge of the area; and Ellie, whilst new to the team, was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and friendly. I would say this was worth the trip if you are in Stockholm and fancy leaving the city to be around nature.

🦌 worth 🦊 every 🫎 penny 🦫 - This was a beautiful hike and Andrew was an excellent guide! I went on this tour solo but I left it feeling like I was with friends :) We saw many deer and even a fox, picked some berries along the way, learned a lot about the nature and wildlife of Sweden (beavers are so interesting!), and ended the evening with dinner by a bonfire. The forest itself was beautiful and felt like a different world, completely green and covered in moss and berry bushes. Next time I’m in Sweden, I will absolutely book another tour with True Nature Sweden! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Take a hike and see some wildlife - Excellent tour and guide (Marietta and Lucas). We saw so much wildlife (including a moose and a lot of roe deer). The tour guides were knowledgeable and engaging. They provided some interpretation during the hike, which added a lot to the hike. Even though it rained the whole time, it was well worth it! Highly recommend this tour.

Lovely trip to see the local flora and fauna! - Our guide was Lucas was really informative and enthusiastic showing me and my partner the Swedish forest and it was really interesting looking for animal tracks, poo and evidence of beavers! We unfortunately didn't get to see any elusive moose but saw lots deer and birds from the vehicle. It was also really nice to have a fireside 'fika' - thank you for the specially sourced vegan treats! The meeting point was easy to get to from the city centre and we were dropped off at the station afterwards. Would recommend as nice break from your city break!
