Epic - Highly recommend this day trip! It was so much fun and the stops were all breathtaking. What made the trip more memorable was the tour guide (Smári), you can’t pick the tour guide you have but if you do decide to go on this trip and have him as a guide just know your in great hands. Also recommend this to any solo travelers.

Go with a small group tour - We were lucky to have Smàri as our guide. He gauged the small group and provided us with relaxed dialogue that had interesting information, stories and on occasions dry humour. We liked that he connected with us and everyone in the group, As for the tour it was a perfect blend of driving and getting out to walk on beaches, up a volcano crater and to picturesque waterfalls.

A fantastic day in Snaefellsnes - It was a fantastic tour. Our guide tour Smári, was great. He showed us many interesting places like black beaches, craters, hidden waterfalls, old churches... He also told us many things about Icelandic culture, history, etc. At the end of the day he gave us a traditional icelandic sweet and he song a song into the bus, playing his slide guitar. He was a great guide.

Snaefellsnes super trip - Excellent tour. Amazing driver. Smari was my tour guide. A genuinely warm and friendly man. Very knowledgeable and can answer any question you might have. Very talented musician too. I will definitely recommend this company and Smari to anyone I meet thinking of coming to Iceland. This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Well done. Thank you very much.

Snaefellsnes excursion - Our guide, Smári, was great. He was attentive at all times to help everyone so that we could enjoy the excursion. The excursion was very interesting, we enjoyed lava fields, black sand beaches, mountains and beautiful landscapes and also a glacier and a crater to complete the visit. In addition, Smári gave us a typical Icelandic sweet, gave us a taste of dried fish (cod) and sang us a song playing his guitar on the mini bus. I recommend making this visit.

Beautiful Scenery - Overall very good trip with lots of great stops along the way. Our tour guide(Mikhal) was awesome. He did a great job, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He is a 5 star guide! The reason for an overall 4 rating for the tour was mainly due to the tour bus and tour bus company....the bus(3 star) and company(3 star). The bus was adequate but compared to the other buses that we traveled on throughout the week(4 total), this bus was in the worst condition compared to the other buses. It appeared to be an older bus with multiple rust spots, a loose front fender and the passenger door that had wouldn't close all the way. Several warning lights were lit up on the instrument cluster and a minor inconvenience of no charging ports located at each seat. The other downside to this trip is that when I booked the trip, hotel pickup was an option that I selected. I received an confirmation with hotel pick up on it and then 2 days before the trip, I received an email stating that hotel pick up was not available. We had to walk to a bus stop that was literally 3 mins from the hotel so I'm not sure why they couldn't swing by to pick us up....every other bus tour that we took (with other companies) picked us up directly from the hotel which was a nice convenience. Also other tour companies sent me one to two emails the day before the trip with information as to the driver name, color of the bus, license plate info, timing etc which was very helpful however I didn't receive any communication from Holiday tours other than the one indicating that hotel pickup was not available. These were all minor inconveniences but it's the small things that can differentiate tour companies.
