Highlights

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Sydney CBD at 7.30am. It’s approximately 2-hours to the main sightseeing area in the Blue Mountains and there is often a stop made about halfway in a small village for a coffee break (at own expense).

The first viewpoint stop is in the Wentworth Falls area, where you will see the expansive valleys the Blue Mountains region is known for. From here, it’s a short drive to the Katoomba area, where many of the most well-known viewpoints are located. You have the option to visit Scenic World – with activities including cable cars, a steep train ride into the valley and a boardwalk through a section of rainforest (entrance fee additional - AU$35 per adult). Alternatively, you can take a longer walk along the cliff-top, which offers scenic views and passes Katoomba Falls and Cascades (walking time approx. 45-minutes, medium grade).

After Scenic World or the cliff-top walk, arrive at Echo Point, the most well-known vantage point for views of the famous Three Sisters rock formation. Hear the Aboriginal Dreaming story of their creation and take in the sweeping panorama of the Jamison Valley.

Lunch (at own expense) is in the picturesque neighboring village of Leura, which has a good range of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. Most food requirements can be catered for. Your guide will suggest a suitable venue based on your preferences and make a reservation if required.

After lunch, head down to the western suburbs of Sydney for a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park (entrance fee applies - AU$28 per adult). The park’s focus is on Aussie animals. You can get a photo with a koala (at additional cost), feed a kangaroo and discover the unique nature of Australian fauna.

From here, travel back to the city center. Return to Sydney CBD by road with hotel drop-off or by public ferry along the Parramatta River and Sydney Harbour (ticket price not included, AU$8.90 per adult) and make your own way back from the ferry terminal to your hotel. Return time is approximately 5pm.

Fabulous experience - I had initially not thought that a day trip to the Blue Mountains was feasible as I had previously driven there from the airport and remembered the journey as lengthy and a real pain. However, having someone to drive you there, especially someone as knowledgeable about the area as Glenn, transformed the experience. The trip was really great and highly recommended.

Fun-filled Day Trip - Kay was fantastic! In addition to being a wealth of knowledge, responsible driver, and part-time comedian, he was a talented photographer who got some amazing shots and videos of us throughout the tour. The wildlife refuge was a blast - saw all the animals and fed the kangaroos and wombats. We were caught in a sudden downpour on one of our hikes, and came across a family with young children who were stranded with no umbrellas. Kay didn’t hesitate to agree that we should help them get back to their hotel, and loaded them into the van along with us. Great restaurant and ice cream recs, too! Such a fun day - request Kay for your trip to the Blue Mountains!

Blue Mountains. New Friends. Priceless. - Laurin and Phuong were gems as guides. They made us comfortable. They were flexible and best of all, they were so easy to get along with. We felt that we were hanging out for the day with old friends. Their services are highly recommended. The visit to Dry Ridge Winery was the highlight of the day. Do not leave that out of the itinerary!

Great day in the Blue Mountains - Glen suggested an early start to the day which proved to be very good since we were the first ones to arrive at the Featherdale Wildlife Park where we spent 90 minutes. He was an excellent driver and gave very good commentary on our trip to the Blue Mountains, stopping at spectacular lookouts where often we were the only ones there. Glen also stopped at a "secret place" in Leura for us to have lunch, again avoiding the crowds. If you want a private tour of the Blue Mountains we would highly recommend using Glen's tour service.

Great day in the country - We had a great day with Glenn. I loved having the flexibility to modify our plans as the day went by. Glenn is very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions (and as a first time visitor to Australia there were a lot of them).

Blue Mountains Day Trip - As active walkers, we planned an appropriate day. It started at the Featherdale Wildlife Park where we spent an hour in close proximity to a wide selection of indigenous wildlife. Not on my original plan but not to be missed if you have an interest in birds and animals. We then spent the morning at a cloudy Wentworth Falls. After a hillside tramp we plunged down into the canyon for a great view from below. Note steep steps with a lung-busting climb back up. After lunch in Leura, we visited the area around the Three Sisters, again with hillside walks taking in great views. The finale was a trip down the Paramatta River to Circular Quay that even a spot of rain couldn’t spoil. To summarise, the day was superbly planned by Glenn who took into account our requests and delivered an in-depth knowledge of the wildlife, geology, geography and history of the area whilst taking us to the best viewpoints. What a great day - thanks.

Awesome trip - Me and my family went on a blue mountain day trip with country trails . It turned out to be an awesome day. Glen was there at the right time to pick us up from the hotel we were staying. He Is a very down to earth person with very good knowledge of not only the blue mountains but the entire Australia itself . His car was very comfortable for 4 of us . We went to feather dale wildlife park first and then to blue mountains. Glen showed us different scenic spots and we did appreciate the enormity and absolute breathtaking beauty of the blue mountains. On top of that we got a discounted group tickets for Katoomba scenic world and featherdale park as well. Glen has good knowledge about the local restaurants and he took us to a vegetarian friendly restaurant which was nice and served good food. Thank you very much glen for all the help and making our trip very memorable. I highly recommend this guy. Cheers
