Experience Zen meditation at a hidden temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, with a history spanning over 400 years. While Zen is globally renowned and recognized, there are few places in Japan where you can have the best Zen experience with English support. This temple is not open to the general public.

Due to our strong connection with the temple, we offer a private Zen experience, fostering a connection with the monk and enjoying activities such as a tea ceremony. We’ll meet at the temple, where you’ll learn briefly about Japanese culture and Zen. Following that, a monk will personally lecture on the principles and techniques of Zazen (seated meditation), and you’ll have the opportunity to practice.

Finally, you’ll have the chance to experience a matcha tea ceremony and engage in a free talk with the monk.

Moreover, capturing photographs with the monk and within the temple is also possible, creating lasting memories for a lifetime.

This is the one to go to - This was the second activity we booked with Ken. And certainly that was a good idea: The meditation was well explained, the English translation impeccable. We got to ask all questions we wanted and everything was answered.

Unique Japanese Cultural Immersion! - Thank you Ken & Namiki-san for this wonderful afternoon! I enjoyed learning about Zen meditation, meditating (it was very special!), learning about prayers, and sipping matcha tea while Namiki-San spoke of his passion for his temple and his inspiring and rich background and history. I also enjoying learning Japanese calligraphy while Namiki-san chanted a Buddhist prayer for a longer life. I got to meet solo travelers like me and we had a wonderful day. Thank you Ken for taking care of all the details - from getting to know us, our WhatsApp group, to even taking photos of us that will be a lifetime memory! This was very special and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for lots of value and meaning in a short time.

Wonderful zen experience - Amazing experience! Ken- san was a wonderful and helpful guide. It was an honour to meditate under the supervison of Namiki-san, and learn more about Zazen meditation. I definetly recommend! The temple is a wonderful place, and you will not get the opportunity to fully spend time in one either as it is usually reserved for monks and members of the community

A great spiritual and informative experience. - Simply great. In addition to the meditation, we also had calligraphy training and then a matcha with the master monk where we could ask questions. A great spiritual and informative experience. And our guide KEN was amazing.

Taste the real Japan - It was a very nice experience. The organization and communication was perfect. We had two meditation sessions and a short introduction in zen buddhism. We practiced calligraphy and at the end we got a refreshing matcha tea. One of my loveliest memories from Japan. I am very happy that I joined.

Great Experience! - Truly beautiful and real experience. Kensuke allowed us to do an activity that would have been difficult to access normally. In addition to meditating with a Zen monk we had the opportunity to try calligraphy and drink an excellent green tea with dessert. I can't wait to return! Thanks Ken for the wonderful experience!
